Jul 5, 2017RileyMcAwesome posted a message on The World of TherosHey, great article. I was recently talking to a friend about how I didn't know anything about Theros (other than I love their gods for EDH decks!). My only question: do you have more information or links about Gideon's "indestructible aura?" It isn't mentioned in his gamepedia page.Posted in: Articles

I also wish it were an ETB or something. Especially in U/G. Flicker is an archetype (especially in EDH) but this has a much stronger death trigger, and Super Friends doesn't care about the ETB and probably is short on sac outlets. Seems cool, but not what I wanted personally.
We can rule out planes they've already done because they said it's one they haven't already done.

THUD!
I largely agree, but rather am tired of Nahiri. I love Sorin and his story and want to see more of him being a stoic badass and am upset when Nahiri (who I think is in the wrong) shows up and ruins stuff.
But I actually like both of these. Nahiri is just an enchantment with "sac this, kill a tapped threat" and Sorin is good. My only concern with Sorin is whether or not he's better than the other B/W 4 drop Sorins...
I find my biggest issue with EDH is most commanders inspire me! I want to make them all!
The beautiful part is they all have strong ways to win: the first 2 just shut down every opponent, the second two (technically non-infinite) combo off with crazy value to deal 500+ damage or win with Labman
Ertai started out very cheap and I run every curse in color (even the bad ones) but it has room to grow with Replenish and Greater Auramancy. The best part is, no one thinks you are a threat.
EDIT: I reread this and think it wasn't clear. The issue I had was with the "2." If you bribe 2 but sometimes it's making you unblockable and sometimes it is drawing cards, how do you know what the 2 really means? It would also allow for bribing with things other than a treasure (if you wanted).
You cast Fblthp and draw a card, then use that card to shuffle back in. Now you're down at least 2 mana and may never see it again. Maybe with Bolas's Citadel, you pay 2 life for 2 cards and then move on to cast more things?
EDIT: I guess just getting the initial 2 and a blocker is value, if you never plan on reusing or abusing.
