So this one time I put 64 +1/+1 counters on my Fathom Mage when I only had 28 cards left in my deck, started drawing cards, got myself down to 0 in the library, went to flash in a Laboratory Maniac with Savage Summoning...... And realized you can't do that once you draw cards. I had two 100/100's too.....
I have only let someone win once, and I would like to think it was for the better.
It was Oloro, Vorel, some random third, and Ulasht. The Ulasht guy had Ashnods Alter on the table, which was declared as an infinite combo by the other two players at the table. Note; he didn't have any way to get Green or Red Mana (Couldn't keep recasting Ulasht) and Ulasht only shoots Creatures, not players.
However, since the guy was going in for surgery that he only had a 30% chance of surviving (Don't worry, he did), and we were already in the Loser's Brackett, I didn't say anything. Dude needed a win, and I play for fun, not cash.
So after Vorel being my Timmy deck, Ruhan as my "No politics!"/Voltron deck, Zur as my serious deck, and Istvan (Potentially) as my just plain silly deck, been thinking about making a Rakdos colored deck.
Kaervek is the only one that really interests me, but I hear he's....... not too well liked. I hear no such murmuring about Ruric Thar, and to me they seem incredibly similar, though admittingly I have played against neither. Anyone wiser than I can clue me in on how to take the target off of his back and make it a fun deck, while still keeping that Red/Black flavor?
I have a Vorel Counter Deck, and am working on a Kruphix (Ramp) and a Zegana (MARO affects/Handsize).
While only the Vorel one is complete, they play drastically different from each other. Kruphix has Mana Drain, Plasm Capture, and Pygmy Hippo, and focuses on stealing mana/ramping. Zegana focuses on using Soramaro, Maro, and other cards similar. Vorel doubles counters on huge creatures and turns them sideways.
We are kind of cutthroat, and I haven't asked them yet (figured it would be easier and with a larger control group to ask here), but it would mean an easier win for them if I played the Uncle.
And thanks for the rules answers, wasn't sure about those. Too bad Uncle Istvan can't Dismember a BSC though....... How badass an Uncle would he be then?
I really want to make a for fun only EDH Deck based on Uncle Istvan; crazy old hermit of questionable mental stability. Basically, Voltron him up and only attack when they have creatures to block him. If the creature survives, it gets Murdered/Grisly Spectacled/Dismembererd, because don't **** with Uncle Istvan. Along with the Rats and spirits that keep him company, Uncle Istvan can and will use Devour Flesh on one of his own rats; Crazy as a fox, that Uncle.
Basically, it's a fun deck that I will ONLY ever be able to play at a FLGS, so I worry about legality. If it's that much of a problem, I could pull out Zur, but I really don't want to resort to that.....
Some questions:
1) Istvan, due to him reducing all Creature Based damage, is immune to Infect, correct?
2) Assuming you deal six damage with Istvan to a Blightsteel Colossus (or any Indestructible creature) and then Dismember it, does that cause the creature to die?
Your joking, right?
Can I get someone else to confirm?
Sunforger is a must, and I recommend the complete Sunforger package.
Also, Rain of Gore will be included due to four people who have Oloro in my group.

Thank you guys, will be making a Kaervek deck here pretty quick. Not sure what direction I'm going to take it, but I think I'll manage.
Never seen Rofellos in action, admittingly.
