I know Curdbros is gonna love this as he/she is always interested in new ppl's lists.
Hmm i say if you love it man, then play it! you could go down to 1x geist of st traft so you can squeeze in the mantis riders.
With all the new lands and stuff i think you can build a budget version. Spire bluff canal as a 4 of would be a start. Then go for like
4 flooded strand
2 arid mesa
2 hallowed fountain
2 steam vents
2 sulfur falls
1 glacial fortress
1 sacred foundry
1 sunbaked canyon
then your basic lands
I think this mana base could be had for less than 100$

Mastodon posted a message on [Primer] Abzan Midrange / Junk / BGw Souls/ BG RockIn a format where 1/1 flyers don't really get a lot done on their own, BB hasn't proven to do much for this deck. Its hard to break down, but here's the way I see it:Posted in: Modern Archives - Proven
In legacy, BB is sometimes just an unstoppable force field often holding off a single attacking win condition (such as Marit Lage, or KotR, or Delver of Secrets) because decks in legacy play less creature removal and less creatures in general. This is mainly thanks to the presence of more combo in the format. Also, most decks in legacy aren't prepared to deal with an enchantment main board, and some of them don't really need to anyway unless its rest in peace or something like that.
Unlike in legacy, modern games are often played out with a couple of relevant bodies on the table such as tarmogoyf, seige rhino, kitchen finks, deciever exarch, wurmcoil engine, wild nacatl, etc. Basically, there's enough creatures and abrupt decay in modern to make a card like bitterblossom just not great in the current meta. Its really strong against a few select decks, but unless you're playing a lot of equipment, the faeries deck, or other cards that support token strategies its not ideal currently.
If we start to see delver or other tempo strategies come up in iterations like their legacy variants, it becomes quite strong. Tempo strategies have a very hard time with cards like bitterblossom because they expect to have out-valued you by the time their hand is empty, and bitterblossom keeps their aggro plan at bay without using any resources (except for life) which means they have to use all of their resources to try and push their damage through instead of using them to hold you back from whatever else you may be doing. Basically, a tempo deck is 2-for-1'ing and 1-for-1'ing itself to stop you just long enough to get enough damage in. If you play bitterblossom, they either have to deal with bitterblossom itself, or hope that all of their card disadvantage spells can keep bitterblossom tokens off the table long enough to kill you by whatever means.
Oddly enough, its usually good against delver decks, but when those decks are fueled by burn spells and treasure cruise it's really bad, since they can continually use their reloading arsenal of burn spells to keep your blocker out of the way. This is why we didn't see it much in the pre-banning period of treasure cruise. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I'm kinda scared it's more a flavor of the month and that the TiTi and phoenixes will drop in price, same for the manamorphose.

Tron is okay, lantern is okay, storm is okay, but twin is not okay? LOL

Exactly, you just can't do that to players.
And I'm not talking about reprints, but about lying to players, low quality print runs, overpriced products e low run supply, failing sets...
I mean, speaking of hardcore players. They "lost" Brian Kibler, one of my all time favorite magic players and one of the most popular ever to Hearthstone, he's now one of the most popular streamers in Hearthstone.
When even the pros and the "pretty faces" of the game abandon you, you're in a pretty bad spot.
RTR was a good phase of the game, some interesting cards were being printed. Not like standard nowadays, totally unbalanced, more bans than ever (non of those bans seeing modern or legacy play). And overall low power among the cards. It's just not fun anymore.
As for prices...
1200$ is not an attractive price to get into modern.
300$ is not an attractive price to get into standard, for one year, after that you have to drop another 250/300$.
Not to speak that stores are closing everywhere.
Where I live I had 3 LGS 4 years ago, all closed down.
Only the biggest cities still have LGS and even those are turning towards warhammer and such.
Not a good sign at all.

It has, but back then it had no competition.
Now it has more competition (and increases as we speak).
Lets just admit, MTG is in a pretty bad place right now.

How are you doing with it and how do you adjust the deck overall to beat trons and eldrazi tron?

It's really getting hard to deal with them.
Maybe geists mainboard, what else?
