1. Future sight's key was FUT.
2. Shimian Specter was a regular, NON-future-shifted rare.
I love the card, but in no way is this playable in Standard. Lingering Souls kills it all by itself, with no pump. And also gets online before this, unless you Rampant Growth first.
ASIDE:
Thundermaw is great all by himself as a way to get damage through. (Unless it's a ground creature with reach). But he does not kill 1/1 Spirits. Because they have EIGHT two mana enchantments that boost by +1/+1. He also does literally nothing against Midnight Haunting after attack is declared, or worse, at EoT.
Nothing short of Glissa + Ratchet Bomb can handle the flashback aspect. And not even terribly well because they're probably holding a Haunting to foil your shenanigans.
That's kind of the best top 5 I've ever seen. I would immediately grab 4 of these if those cards were in it, regardless of what other trash they picked.
Just tell MaRo everyday that you want them to be. He'll fold eventually.

And about the Load-Screen argument: Deal with it. It's like *****ing because the SUPER AWESOME GRAPHICS on your video game take longer than three seconds to load. It's whiny BS.
Right, which makes the entire thing stupid, and pointless.
There are some really good cards on there. And then there's total garbage on that list that I would GLADLY tear into pieces.
Either it's all not reprintable, or nothing is. This pick and choose thing really pisses me off.
Yeah. Not sure how to get the picture copied into the forum. But anyways! Holy hell, now I don't have to scramble to find/buy the Mirrodin version! WHeeee!
Did I mention my favorite burn spell is Ultimate Nightmare of Wizards of the Coast Customer Service? (I mean, cough. Comet Storm, cough)
Off the top of my head I can think of...
0 counters: Tokens from — Garruk Relentless, Huntmaster of the Fells, Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, Garruk Primal Hunter, Lingering Souls, Entreat the Angels...
ANY transformed card, effectively killing all Werewolves, or Insectile Abominations, or Garruk the Veil-Cursed.
(Note: None of the transform-able cards can be flipped BACK at instant speed. Only flipped to the 0-cmc side.)
I will explain in one post why Wizards is nerfing the *snip* out of blue.
The color wheel is a complex mess of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock, yes?
Blue has no such counterpoint. No nefarious enemy to constantly thwart it. Every counterspell is basically a Doom Blade, that can only target on the stack, but kills every single card that does not specifically have text to stop it. Blue also bounces anything it missed early on. It even has three cards that can bounce spells themselves. (Remand, Venser, and his diffusion)
Of the five colors, blue is the only one that can consistantly hose/perform against every other color, even itself, without drawback. Black for most of Magic could not kill black creatures, and still does not kill artifact or enchantments. White doesn't outright kill, and most of what it deals with comes back (O-Ring). Red can't touch enchantments, and almost has no endgame. And green is basically relegated to creatures, and focusing on green spells and strategies. (Revive, GSZ, Dramatic Entrance, this new Elf)
In short, I'm sick to death of blue's complete dominance over the game, and I'm glad to see it get dethroned so splendidly. It's about damn time.
Really, though, control is fine, but it shouldn't be SO powerful that I am literally embarrassed to cast creatures against it. Which has been the case for, like... ever.

Glissa, the Traitor + Ratchet Bomb actually handle all by itself?

Turn 3, this land with a counter, then swing for the second counter.
Turn 4, Make token, swing with it.
Yeah, I know, this plan is STUPIDLY disruptable.
Omfg. It doesn't even say dies. OMFG.
