Well, seeing as it just got reprinted in WAR while already being in Standard, they seem to really love Pridemates.

Is this Angel a part of a cycle? Because Naya has Gisath and Zacama (not to mention creature Samut) on top of Palladia-Mors, yet Chromium is the only Esper card to ever hit a standard legal set since Alara. And while I'm on this, Bolas has a Grixis color identity, Tamiyo Bant, Huatli and Samut Naya (Ajani too- though I doubt he'll ever be red again), Sarkhan was Jund (until he was Temur), but there has never been a main storyline planeswalker with an Esper color identity.

EDIT: Buy a box? Really? Well it least it might find a home in a Hero if Precinct One deck.

Goatnap makes me wish goats and sheep shared a creature type in magic. Because I hate Gatebreaker Ram.
    Edit: Darn autocorrect*

All I can say is that this had better be the last we see of the Bolas horns symbol for a lonnnggggg time if not ever again. It's like the Illuminati of Magic. It's everywhere!

    'buster

You say Bolas is 'like' the illuminati of magic as if he wasn't depicted on the stained glass making a triangle with his hands around the eye carved into his armor while perched on top of one of his pyramids.
That was no accident- Illuminati confirmed!

It looks that way on the surface but it really isn't. There are not many hard counters that do not have UU in their cost.

Way to make what could have easily been a mono green card red and white Wizards.

Can they just errata pegasi and unicorns into horses now? This just needs to be done. Also I find it highly ironic that only three of the twenty-three horses currently in magic are white, meanwhile nine of the twelve unicorns and all eleven pegasi are white- but its the horses with a mono white lord. Furthermore of those 23 horses, nine of them are rare and this new one will be mythic, meanwhile there is isn't a rare unicorn in all of magic and the only rare Pegasus is Vryn Wingmare.

Well so far we have a river turned to blood, locusts that destroy all, a staff turned into a serpent, and now fiery hail. Well at least I can rest assured that there will not a parting of the sea- as there is neither a sea nor salvation to be found on this god-forsaken plane.

This card is great as it is, but considering that it has flash, I would think it would stifle as it enters the battlefield or if it was cycled.

Are we, as wizards audience, really incapable of recognizing human emotion and internal conflict and connecting with them if they are not played out in a human form?

No but executives are incapable of letting companies put money on anything that hasn't been done before.
WotC's other flagship product, D&D, is chock full of people pretending to be dwarves, gnomes, halflings, tieflings, dragonborn, drow, warforged. Hell it's in fact harder to find a human majority party. You'd think suits would be more welcoming of humanoid characters, they're pretty much reptilians after all.

I always picked Liliana as the Grimm's Snowwhite kind of Middle-European-style white. That might just be her fair necromancers teint and Innistradi fashion sense and the air of fairy tale I get from her origin story.

Middle-Eastern is a geopolitical term. You're as likely to find a blue-eyed person between Suez and the Levant, as in California.
And so we come to a strange point, no Liliana can't be Middle-Eastern because she's Dominarian and the Middle East is a geopolitical region on Earth, and if what MaRo was trying to say is that she's meant to have arabic features, that still doesn't mean much because there are non-mixed arabic people with white skin and light eyes since they have historically occupied a very large expanse of land with great bio/climate diversity that produced different addaptations on different populations.

This is why I hate this PC newspeak, on one hand you have malevolent racists saying stupid ***** like singling out Mexicans as a "race" or that slavic people aren't "white". On the other you have benevolent racists shoving people into their PoC box and forcing their narrative down on people to the point they'll try to convince you that you're "opressed" because you're from India even if you're the richest and most influential person in the room.
    It's racism either way.

She actually holds the title 'Countess'; the place she comes from is certainly based on Europe. You know, if he had said that she was supposed to be based on a Roma(Gypsy) I might have bought it, but no- I'm calling BS on him. Also agree that the so called anti racist SJWs are among the most racist people on the planet.
