I have grave doubts these will be compelling commanders. They'll be all over the place - how can a creature with WUBR in the casting cost even be represented thematically? It'll probably have flying - in fact, I know it will, since Flying is something that all those colors have in common. WUB is Esper, UBR is Grixis, WBR is Mardu - Grixis and Mardu have greater overlap than any other pairing, so it'll be a Orc Zombie Angel Dragon Potato that has firebreathing and farts fireworks. That's unblockable.
Oh, I forgot - WUR is Jeskai. So we have Esper, Grixis, Mardu, and Jeskai to cram into A SINGLE COMMANDER CREATURE. That'll actually make people want to play it until they go back to Gaddock Teeg.
God alone knows what the casting cost will be - something ridiculous, I'm sure.

I might be wrong about this, but wouldn't unbanning Chrome Mox make Jund worse by making it far more likely the opponent will resolve a wrath effect on turn 3 & likely stabilize?

I mean, making combo go off on turn 2-3 might help . . . but pretty sure Jund can be pretty maindecked to hold it's own against combo.
Seems like BR zombies is better at killing fast than BG. Burn and aristocrat is just so much better than rancor and troll. There are much more jund and BR variants in the top 32 than straight BG.
BG version should try to go midrange, incorporating it's synergy with reanimator, or just play red.
I'm surprised at low count of geist in the top 32. Yes, he's weak agains zombies, but all those control and ramp decks just can't beat geist with backup.
What's the backup that stops Thrangtusk/Verdict/Terminus/Bonfire/Entreat?
Coloring books are actually a FANTASTIC resource for other art and craft forms. I use coloring books as template designs for batik and complex pictoral tie dye, and my sister uses them as leading patterns for making stained-glass windows. If you look at the Dover line, it is obvious that many of their "coloring books" are intended for such use and target a much older audience.
To say that releasing a coloring book is dumbing down Magic is really pretty ludicrous and narrrow-minded.
And it's not like coloring isn't as complicated and intricate as one wants to make it!
I lost faith in their ability to manage the commander list ages ago.
Sorin Markov not banned, even though he throws someones life total down 30+ points in one swing for only 6 mana that you can do very little about if youre not running blue counterspells--- but Kokusho (until now) was banned. 2 mono black cards with a 6cc that can result in huge life swings, sure. But Kokusho could be exiled, gy hated out, required other cards to be abusive, and only resulted in a 5 point loss of life per opponent--- not nearly as damning as instantly losing 3/4 of your life in one hit.

Sundering Titan. No one liked this card, sure, but he helped keep 5 color under control, while doing almost nothing to mono colored players. As such, he offered a foil to Iona-- a card that lets you name a color and then your opponents cant play spells of that color as long as she stays in play. If Sundering is broken and needs to be banned because he unfairly punishes players running 5 color, why leave Iona unchecked? They both should be banned or left in play. End of story.
Library of Alexandria. Great card, but its not nearly as good in commander as it is in regular magic, and even less effective in group games. Its cost is certainly prohibitive, but is this card really more OP than say-- Time Twister?. I can certainly see it going in allot of decks, but I dont see it making that much more of an impact than other good artifacts or generic lands-- like say sol ring, mana crypt, divining top.

And if a table can't kill Iona . . . maybe they should play a removal spell in their deck.
I don't understand why they let P3K be legal in Commander. If the power 9 are banned because of them being "distracting" when they are played and are mostly cost prohibitive then P3K is the most distracting and cost prohibitive product there is.

Cards aren't banned for rarity. Timetwister, Moat, Workshop, etc are all legal. P8 + 2 are banned because they are very good. Every deck would want 5 moxes.
There are only going to be 18 cards, at $75 all foil that is super nuts. I hate foil cards. Unless there is foil Dark Confidant and Tarmogoyf. I don't see this thing as worth buying at all. Considering neither of those cards are played in EDH because no one can afford them. I doubt they will be in there anyway. This is going to be nuts. I wasn't able to pick up a single from the vaults realms so.......idk should I gamble on this thing?
They're not played in EDH because they are terrible in EDH . . .
Which play group do you suppose caused more sales, and thus which was more important to WOTC financially? In my experience, legacy players bought and opened more packs than commander players and then just sold the surplus, which allowed commander players to not even have to buy the boxed sets in many cases.
Who do we suppose are going to buy these new sets? I think legacy players looking to pimp their lists, because they will turn around and sell the non legacy stuff (mimeoplasm, command tower) and probably make a profit off it. That is assuming anyone can get these cards in the first place.
I think way more people bought the decks to use, wanting to play commander. It's way more economical for the legacy players to just trade for the few staples from them anyway
Ok, so I'm trying not to get -too- excited, but based on these few uncommons/commons alone, Ravnica is looking awesome so far! Izzet Charm and Goblin Electromancer, I love you!
The guildmage and Mangler are pretty awesome too. But I'm having a little bit of trouble understanding how the new Izzet mechanic works with Replicate.

Cards with great potential are known to have efficient cost to effect ratio. It's effect is it is a 5/5 with an inefficiently costed ability.
It is an efficient vanilla beater, vanilla beaters don't have a huge impact. It is also a costly pump spell at sorcery speed, which is very vulnerable and requires other, more efficient cards to be even potentially dangerous.
It needs other things to be actually good, because by itself it does one really simple and boring thing that is on its own not particularly meaningful and the cost isn't really That competitive.
Like Rumbling slum, or Wolfir Silverheart, or Vengevine or . . . yeah.
hold on, I'm sure they're keeping the best for last. of course, the optimal inclusions will be - Karakas - Maze of Ith - Wasteland it's still a possibilty, even though I wouldn't hold my breath for it. if they put 2 out of the 3, then this FTV rocks.
my personal wish is to have Karakas and Wastelnd. the reason is that both have never been printed in the modern frame and Maze of Ith was (judge reward). *crossing fingers*

Plenty of t1 modern decks are budget friendly . . . and many of the valuable cards are standard legal.

It's an UNC that scales to whatever phase of the game you're in in draft. Not bad.
