Since someome above mentioned it vial out and use [card]logic knot[/card) basically turns your graveyard into fireball fuel.run a bunch of dredge or looting effects, they cast a spell, you logic for 20+ and win lol
I would be soo tempted to run 4 color just to splash U in jund for delve cards. Man it would be fun to cast treasure cruise for a single U and gain 8 life.
I too have been working on a Sydri Aetherflux storm deck, I originally was gonna play Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge as my commander for gamble and the few extra wheel cards but then i wanted to go for the liflinking Aetherflux Reservoir plus I wantedEnlightened Tutor as a better tutor then gamble, but my point was, that if you end up running all the good mana rocks you can play cards like Dramatic Reversal to instant speed untap all non-land cards, which can generate soo much mana off of rocks. plus you could go for a nearly all instant build with stuff like reset and such aling with High Tide. Just a few thoughts, when I get m,y list finished and typed up I'll post it to compare.
Otherwise any delve creature is good, hooting mandrils gurmag angler, or Tasigar, the golden fang being able to drop them T2, T3 then emerge tbe next turn seems great.
Without having any additional information, I'd send Revival and Exarch to the bin. They have 4 lands in play and 1 in hand and I've given them 2 cards that are each 5 mana, so they won't combo until 3 turns from now (this is your EOT, they untap and Bring to Light, your turn, pass, they pass back and Exarch your EOT, then Kiki their turn). I think that gives you the most amount of time to either find an answer or kill them before they can combo.
Of course knowing what deck you're playing and what your hand is and what you've already played and the life totals etc. would go a long way toward answering this correctly.
It is very true, that the decision will often be determined by both your own deck and current board/hand state. The question is strictly taken in a vacuum, and I have to say I'm very interested in the variety of answers so far. Good discussions.
So here's a hypothetical situation. Your opponent has 4 lands in play, well say 1 breeding pool 3 Steam Vents you tap out for a play on your turn, at EOT your opponent casts Gift's Ungiven . He/she reveals Kiki-jiki, Mirror breaker, deceiver Exarch, Bring to Light and noxious Revival. You know that your opponent has a fetchland is their hand from a Gitaxian Probe earlier. What would you give your opponent out of that gifts pile, not being 100% sure what their playing?
Thanks for tagging Syphon Life yes that is the card i was refering to, it allows you to lock yur opponent with weirding while acting as a win condition as well. Also yes any spell with flashbsck goes up highly in value.
What about life from the loam and the black retrace spell that drains 2 when cast? At least that way you have a win con plus you can lock your opponent from drawing anything. Throw in Raven@ crime and your opponent wont have a hand either.
If you want to abuse card draw and Niv, mizzet why not just put a curiosity it lets you draw you'll whole deck and deal damage equal to tge amount you draw?
This is quite comprehensive, perhaps it could deserve to be stickied or better yet, added to the "Welcome to Modern and the Modern forum!" thread.
Came to the thread to say just this: please sticky this, like, yesterday. This is an amazing resource. As someone who likes to play off the wall strategies this kind of information is just what the doctor ordered and answers a lot of frequently asked questions.
Actually I've been playing around with Traverse as well, my tutor targets are linvala, keep of silence against creature combo decks. Azusa, lost but seeking as ramp, gateg teeg shuts down half the meta decks. thalia, guardian of thraben against storm general tax. Those are a few I'm running bant not Temur but those are all great 1 of targets
It is actually very busted card, if you want video proof, check out "brewspythemagicguy" on twitch.tv or youtube. He's been brewing with brain for the last couple weeks and is planning on bring it to GP Charlete.

It would give them 5 colors for a domain spell but you can't generate all 5 mana colors as 2 of tge colors are on 1 land.
This, totally needs to be stickied.
