I assume Hunted Dragon is a shoo-in card for this.

Indeed. Hopefully, we'll also get the knight tokens to go with it!

I would imagine they'll use the SteamPowered logo.

    EDIT: Bloody ninjas!

The XBox Garruk had an XBox controller as the set symbol right? I wonder what the Steam Nissa will have... a keyboard? a mouse? a puff of steam?

I think the important thing about Nighthawk is that it's a decently costed flier for black -- then they tacked on two fairly relevant abilities at no extra cost.

I agree about Quest for the Gravelord. That card is black's golden Cadillac insurance policy. For one B, you not only get the potential fatty, but you also force you opponent to play around it. It's always good to have the other guy worried about killing your critters.

So, anyone else out there who chose 'HOLD' and hasn't switched to refund yet? I tried contacting CardKid to get an update, but they haven't replied yet. How are the rest of you faring?

Ebay is warning me about the deadline to file a claim being close, and I'm starting to worry about getting completely hosed.

Nighthawk may not be the most ridiculous uncommon ever printed, but he's solid for both constructed and limited. Probably my favorite one. Beyond it's playability, the card has top notch art.

Hedron Crab is the one I forgot. Let's not forget you can use it to mill yourself. Perhaps not so handy for blue, but I think there are some unexplored builds that can abuse this one-drop crustacean. Also, thankfully, another win on the art! :p

Couldn't find a thread discussing this topic in specific, so I thought I would get the ball rolling. I've noticed some high quality uncommons in this set. Here's my top 10:

    Brave the Elements
Feast of Blood(assuming you're playing a critical mass of vamps)
    Gatekeeper of Malakir
    Pitfall Trap
    Quest for the Gravelord
    River Boa
    Shepard of the Lost
    Vampire Nighthawk
    Trusty Machete
Kazandu Blademaster (I think it's good enough to play without other allies)

I'm sure there are others that will show themselves to be indispensable, so let me know your take on this.

    Un-freakin-believable! Facepalm

I guess this confirms everyone's suspicions that there was something rotten going on. I expect their increasing rate of negative ratings is about to hockey stick. Mad

I just had a new development. CaptainCollect has opened an unpaid purchase case against me on ebay claiming that I did not pay for my purchase of a Zendikar Booster Box. I am one of the ones who requested to have my purchase canceled. I have no idea why this is happening, other than the potential fact that they are in fact scam artists and attempting to squeeze more money out of people than they had planned to.

Unfortunately this will not happen, I will take this as far as I can, I still have the emails that they sent me, and thus can complain to them. And I will take this both to Ebay and Paypal if they press it further.

How did you get an email to them? After a bit of poking around on their site, I find their customer service page. When I click on the email tab, the page I get just sits there loading forever, but doing nothing.

I just sent an Email to Wizards of the Coasts Customer Support service. I should hear back from them fairly soon, but we shall see what comes of this action, I don't expect anything to magnificient.

I tried to contact WotC about this situation, but their email contact page isn't working. It just sends you to a page that tries to load forever, but never manages. It's starting to make me feel like a crappy Twilight Zone episode.

I ordered two boxes. I ordered them very early, too.:mad::mad::mad:

How big were your preorders? I haven't gotten the e-mail from them, but I ordered a case.

I just got that email as well.

I pre-ordered on eBay (one box on Sep 1, another on Sep 5). I haven't heard anything from this seller through any official eBay channel, so I sent them a question. Haven't heard back yet, though.

If this turns out to be some kind of scam to sell the boxes at higher prices, I think those who pre-ordered need to find a way to make an organized complaint to both "card kid" and WotC.

    Got this e-mail today:
We have just been notified by Wizards of The Coast (WOTC) that apparently a CardKid customer has been recently reselling our boosters to businesses in Germany and/or possibly other restricted areas, which is against Wizards of The Coast/Hasbro policy. We are attempting to internally identify the individual(s).

**** In the meantime Wizards has canceled all CardKid Zendikar PreOrders ****

We are pursuing legal counsel against Wizards for canceling their shipments without proper Notice and/or Proof Of Breach.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING VERY CAREFULLY! It is VERY IMPORTANT that EVERY pre-order customer understand what options they have:

Option #1 - 'CANCEL'. We will provide a Full refund IMMEDIATELY. Also, at anytime should Wizards release our preorder shipments, any 'Canceled' orders can be Re-Registered AT THEIR ORIGINAL PRICE and shipped ASAP.

Option #2 - 'HOLD'. Our purchasing managers are scouring the secondary market for any Zendikar product they can find. Any CardKid PreOrder can choose to 'Hold' for up to 60 days after release, and if we are able to get product in stock, the 'Hold' orders will be shipped ASAP.

Option #3 - 'EXCHANGE'. Any pending retail Zendikar booster PreOrder can choose to request a 'same-quantity exchange' for: Lorwyn, Conflux, or Core 2010, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. We will ship out everything we have left in-stock if we have to, in order to fulfill the exchange requests. So it will be first-come-first-serve on this option.

** IF YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER RESELLING TO GERMANY AND DID SO ACCIDENTALLY OR WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF WOTC POLICY, PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY. YOU WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE AND WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO RESOLVE THE WOTC SUIT ASAP **

There will be an aggregated total of over 6500 cancellations as a result of this, so if you know the individual or individual(s) involved in the reselling, we are offering both a CASH REWARD and/or product reward of $5000 US dollars for information directly leading to the reinstatement of the Zendikar shipments from WOTC & WOTC Dist. Any leading information will be kept Confidential and the provider Indemnified and Held Harmless.

Rest assured, we will be pursuing this matter to the fullest extent of the law.

    J Ira
    Regional Executive Director
    TheCardKid & CaptainCollect

P.S. Those of you on Tiered or Wholesale accounts with 50+ case pre-orders, please contact your appropriate rep immediately regarding your bulk cancellations and/or escrow refund options.

I really love slivers, and I like the idea of reprinting the older ones in the new frames. Smashing idea!

Why the hell do they have to be freaking foils? I wish wizards would stop treating us like a bunch of damn magpies, and just let the aesthetic of the card speak for itself. Nevermind the curving effect which basically makes foils useless. This is total fail.
