Given that it's types not cards with distinct types this can probably trigger off of 2 cards if done right.
True, but then it would only add 2 mana when it flips (at least until you mill/lose more permanents).
The similarities to Azor's Gateway from original Ixalan block are striking. Must have been intentional on the part of the design team, given that this door/core serves almost an identical role to the gateway/sanctum in the original.
Stay tuned for Ixalan 3, where we learn that there's an even deeper core world inside this one, and that world has its own magic doorway, and if you loot enough that door opens into an even more special room!
That's a fair point about only tapping for 2 in that case, so it is quite balanced but also consistent.
Threefold Thunderhulk is stuck competing with Myr Battlesphere in Tron decks, and both of them are probably going to keep on losing.
Came here to say this feels like Myr Battlesphere at home, heh. The ol' battleball has had a spot in vintage cube for quite a while, and I could see this getting subbed in for it on the next iteration just for some variation. That said, both are outclassed as tinker and ramp targets nowadays so I could see the spot just getting taken by something else entirely.
Not great but Hardened Scales, Tempered Steel and The Great Henge would all play nicely with this in some sort of GW build somewhere. It's just so expensive and not quite good enough to justify Fabricate.
So it gives each creature you control a unique buff based in it's pre-existing buff. That's going to be a giant pain in paper. Especially as it scales each turn for its own effect.
Totally agree here, but for those who don't mind slowing down the game a bit, it's expected. There's also a a mythic fungus who plays too well with saprolings and fungi. So I expect to see a small resurgence in use of the spore counters Thallids & fungi, meaning there'll more other ways for Commander games to be slowed down. Looks like an unintentional side effect (theme).
Agreed,I can see games devolving into massive sprawls of cards and tokens and counters and dice. And I'm here for it.

That raccoon is tempting for my flicker deck (it can bring back the flicker targets)
wait that’s impossible on the enchantment how does a effect like that be allowed at uncommon especially for lands.
You are investing 3 mana and a slot for half a Kodama's Reach and an Amulet of Vigor. I'm not sure you'd want that at Rare.
But, 2 copies would do great things for ramp in Standard. I don't think it makes the cut in Amulet Titan but it may be worth experimenting.
well its commander is where that enchantment becomes back breaking there's hundreds of staple lands that ETB tapped
Fair, but Commander already has Amulet which is cheaper (mv wise at least), more findable, colourless and overpriced $ wise. This feels like a very healthy addition to the format.
And, on reading it again. It's a significantly weaker Amulet too, as it will not function in multiples the way that Amulet does. Admittedly, that shouldn't have major impact in Commander.
the type is "Cave" and they are definitely pushing cave matters cards
a redone version of a popular mechanic that first premiered in 2009
Discover X its basically a new take on "Cascade" it pretty much the same...but this time you have the option to put it into your hand instead of the bottom of your library if its a miss.
a new ability word that cares about what is in your graveyard
Descend X its basically "Threshold" with any number this time if you pay the cost it cast from your graveyard
a new mechanic representing crafting
Craft its a mana cost you pay of exiling this and certain number of permanents from the battlefield or graveyard then it transforms and does something even better
“Whenever you cast a permanent spell using mana produced by CARDNAME, up to one other target permanent you control becomes a copy of that spell until end of turn.”
CARDNAME is land called "The myriad pool" but this is the flip side of a card card called "The everflowing well" you flip it is descend 8 (threshold 8)
“When you <new keyword>, <new keyword> again for the same value.”
theres no card shown be we know its "When you Discover ,Discover again for the same value" now
Except that Breeches can crew it on his own. I kind of wish it was a 6/6 with crew 4
Specifically, the one you chose not to blow up.

I love this so hard.

Good catch on Discover for the last one.
Even in Standard I wouldn't want to see it just ETB and trigger off of Virtue of Persistence.
I like this idea too.
