A lot of people keep saying Drain is $200 but I don't think it has been for a long time. Sure, I guess that's the SCG price or something?
Hell, when I was at Gencon last month you could buy English ones from $110 EX to $130 LP from different dealers all day every day.
$150 for NM ones, $150 for foils. It's just not a $200 card anymore. I believe this is mostly because they kept releasing the judge foils.
This new one arguably has better art than the judge foil and will be more readily available.
I'm hoping it settles in the $60-70 realm as THEY WILL COME IN JAPANESE and I need like 2 or 3 more Drains for EDH.
Definitely Roman Empire. The whole armor indicates to that, and so do the structures on the background. Someone said that is Fiora in its early ages? That might be so... or maybe a new plane. I find it crazy they would make Roman and Greek world, since most Roman gods borrow from the Greek ones. Maybe it doesn't matter because, aside from that, they had pretty different traits overall.
EDIT: forgot to talk about the card itself. Not good. The fact that it can 'cheat' the commander tax is what could break the card, but stuffing your deck with lifegain, especially outside of green, means you will be forced to play tons of suboptimal spells. Maybe there are enough lifelink creatures to make it work? Don't know.
The first good (extremely so) one that springs to mind is Serra Ascendant.
I actually like the Leveler combo every bit as much, as it's less expensive to play, and you're not required to splash black for it (although the splash giving you more tutoring isn't bad). Phage DOES give you the insta-win though.
Also Leveler is a LOT easier to cheat into play than ol' Miss "you gotta play me fair and square" Phage
I think Steamflogger Boss and basic lands are the only black bordered cards in the set. Which honestly ******* sucks if true.
What did you EXPECT? That's actually 1 more black bordered card than normal from an un-set.
I expected to see contraptions in black border Magic. Having them in Unstable means we won't be getting them in black border Magic. After years of Maro saying he plans on getting them in the game while it was being developed in secret for Unstable feels like we were being misled.

That said, 6 CMC is pretty hefty.

Another great example is Staff of Domination. It experienced a huge spike and then was permanently "damaged" price-wise even after the fall.
