After the sketch cards were JUST in MH2 in the original regular packs, having it be another whole product entirely feels pretty dirty.
Midnight Hunt already has its own equivalent to the sketch cards in black and white cards already in the set as well as the coven and werewolf showcases. It's safe to assume Crimson Vow will have something of that type as well. This whole other product is extra after the showcase stuff we've already gotten for the set.
What reason is there for her to hide her identity? Is she known on this plane? For being a multiverse everyone sure does know everyone else.
Easily couldve been any other walker whose storyline HASNT been concluded.
But sex sells.
I'm confused. How does the mere presence of a female character equate to "sex sells"?
Especially with how unsexualized this art is when compared to past incarnations of her. Clearly this card has nothing to do with sex selling. That's not even to mention the fact that her story has not reached its conclusion due to the dangling plot thread that is the Raven Man.
People here seem to not get that not every product is for you. I hate lord of the rings but im not going to tell everybody I play with that they can't play with me and my friends even though the cards they have are official black bordered magic cards. Not allowing those people to play with you potentially gets rid of their only way to play magic.
Selfish.
I don't know...I see this the same as Silver-Border cards. We normally can say yes or no to people using them in decks. I wouldn't want to push anyone away from the table, but as a Vorthos player its going to be very very hard playing a Nicol Bolas commander deck against a Gollum deck.
Yeah but the thing is they aren't silver border cards they're black border so it really doesn't matter much if people believe that others shouldn't be allowed to play them cause it's simply not their right to exclude people because they chose to play cards that are legal in the format, just because they don't like that they aren't from the magic lore. People are going to buy these cards expecting to be able to play them and if your playgroup decides not to play them thats fine but when some 16 year old kid shows up with their new Warhammer 40k deck they just purchased excited to play with the cards they bought and they're told they can't play with the local group because they decided those cards aren't allowed, the game could be completely ruined for them because they were excluded because they decided to buy cards someone else didn't like.

I love that we are at the point on this site where every thread just devolves into pedantic bickering. Yall have fun.
Lock this thread, lock the next one and just lock the site at this point. It's absolutely toxic.
Glad I'm not the only one who sees it like this. It appears as though the mods hardly care at all they dont even issue warnings to people anymore (at least that I've seen)
Has anyone here ever played a spellslinger type commander deck? Do you think you would draw more or less hate depending on how you build with her as a commander? I'm sure she could be played as a Stax commander, but I'm more interested in the whole cast a bunch of stuff every turn aspect.
I have this built if you wanna see a list. I just play the good guy every game and people keep me around because it's good for the table
I think it’s referring to the double sided TOKENS seen in many other sets. Many pre-releases have had double sided token cards, like how Eldritch Moon had double sided Zombie/Werwolf tokens. It’s nothing new or special. Just two tokens in one card. I’m not sure why they listed them as counters.
As someone who plays oko in pioneer I'm honestly happy to see it banned even though my deck is the only one in our meta playing it. Was kind of sick of turn one goose turn two oko.
I didn´t play RTR, but I think the promo was fixed based on which guild kit you chose, like Izzet always had a Hypersonic Dragon, Golgari always had a Corpsejack Menace and so on.
Nope. Each guild had a pool of eight possible promos that could be the promo in that guild's seeded booster (one mythic and seven rares). So as a result there were some rares that simply could not appear as promos (most notably, the shocks).
Oh, or am I just thinking of the nonpromo rare from the guild seeded pack. Yeah, that may be it.
RtR and gatecrash both had the intro pack rares as the seeded promo and in dragons maze is when the 8 potential promo thing started I believe. However it might have been in khans of tarkir when the system of 8 potential promos started
Edit:the promos for dragons maze were actually just mazes end and the seeded boosters just had a rare or mythic from your guild that was not stamped

And that Ral even has another part of the combo tacked into his last loyalty ability.

However it doesn't sacrifice the land as a cost so it's also not strictly worse.

It's for sure not that because if so they definitely would've said token rather than keyword counter.
