I think it's kind of what you said about goldfishing. If a game would have gone the exact same way had the opponents not even been there, it was not interactive. I think it's kind of a two way street though. Was it uninteractive because you locked the game down on turn 3 or because they only played threats and no answers (which don't have to be removal necessarily but it helps if it is) in their deck?

Edit: For clarification, when I said, "it was not interactive" in the second sentence, I was talking about the game, not a deck or strategy.

Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts seems like it would be the best general if you wanted to keep it two color. I'd also use her instead of Tariel if she had Red. As for cards I haven't already seen mentioned, Souls of the Faultless may be another option. Stuffy Doll too. Mogg Maniac if you do end up going Red? I took it out of my Tariel deck because it didn't have a chance of killing everyone at once which is what I'd really prefer doing, but Ragged Veins is a super fun underrated card. It works well with things like Wall of Blood if you can spare the life. Hilarious if they attack into Hold the Line and you play Ragged Veins. Turn the Tables works well too with it.

Breath of Fury is another card that can combo off with Grave Titan, Wayfaring Temple, Spawnwrithe, or any other creature that makes tokens upon dealing damage (all with something like Mass Hysteria out). Even if you just have a really big token army, it'll work as well.

I'd like to get some suggestion on some more graveyard hate. Scavenging Ooze is nice, but I feel one more should be good (or possibly replace it). Ground Seal is nice that it replaces itself, but I'd rather just remove the cards from the graveyard completely. Suggestions?

Also, had an interesting play today. Iroas, God of Victory was the only one left, but he had a nice sized army and I had jack. I had Seer's Sundial out. I drew and played a land, then paid the 2 to draw a card. I drew Holistic Wisdom and played it for 3. Then I used the ability to get rid of a creature to bring back Solemn Simulacrum to hand. Then I played it for 4 and search for the land. I then paid 2 again for Sundial's ability and drew...Constant Mists with exactly two mana left open! That was probably the luckiest draw I've ever had.

    Whims of the Fates

Someone ramped and then played this on turn 4 on MTGO. The person who played it lost everything because they gambled by putting everything in one pile, but the other two players conceded before it resolved saying it was unfair and broken since they mostly just had lands. I thought it was a pretty cool card. Even though the guy who played it wasn't mono red, I think mono red needs stuff like this that can be a game changer, especially if you're playing anything besides Purphoros/Krenko. For six mana, it may seem a bit expensive, but it can pack a punch. I mean, it's kind of like a way weaker Pox, isn't it? Thoughts on the card?

Just a small change. In: Calming Verse, Out: Spring Cleaning. For the reasons above. Haven't been able to do many videos lately because of work and even when I do win, it has to be one where the game wasn't over an hour.

No Tranquility? Also sweet deck - gonna try it out

Thanks! Hm, instead of Tranquility, I have been considering Tranquil Grove. I don't really have anything to protect my own enchantments from it though. I might have to play-test it later. It's painful to play MTGO right now because of the server issues they're having that cause lag ever since the latest update.

What about Calming Verse? In this way you can protect you own enchantments.

Hm, that could be good. The card to replace would probably be Spring Cleaning. While Calming Verse is a sorcery and costs a bit more, it will always get the job done unlike Cleaning. Also, Dosan doesn't mind sorceries or tapping out anyway quite as much. While Tranquil Grove is repeatable, I wonder if it would draw more hate towards me than I need from that kind of card. There are other cards in the deck that do that already well enough. Not sure the benefit of keeping enchantments at bay is worth it. Maybe it is. I'll play around with Calming Verse and see how it does.

This deck is a lifestyle.I love the deck so much because it's such a untypical deck to pilot. I don't know how you do it, but I don't have the degree in psychology that it takes to play this deck, especially online. How do you deal with players who see your general and think you're playing boardwipe.dec?

Thanks! Playing the deck right isn't hard really as long as you remember two things. The first is don't make people mad at you or attract unwanted attention. Save every turnaround card, and I mean everything for the game ender if you can. Otherwise, never even show that you're capable of dealing damage. The second is sometimes things just won't go your way, but it's really just a game of odds so sometimes they will. Think of all the times you've seen people overextend in EDH with huge token armies, big creatures, or tables of land. That will happen again, and if you play the deck enough, odds are you'll have the right card to deal with it at some point. I don't know if people think I'm playing board wipes although that's not an unheard of strategy for Tariel since she's in the perfect colors for it and has a reanimation ability. Usually when the field is overrun with critters and I'm not playing Wrath of God, they get the hint.

Yeah, the big issue with Dictate of the Twin Gods is the mana cost. It's probably most easily comparable to Wild Ricochet or Increasing Vengeance since they'll often serve the same function of doubling damage. However, it can be used in some different situations like when an opponent is attacking another. It also can backfire on you though unlike the copy spells unless you were copying something like Acidic Soil. Ricochet is four mana and can change a target while Vengeance is two or five mana to double or triple the damage. I guess Dictate does act as a "permanent" doubler, but I would really prefer to play it as a finisher so the permanent aspect of it is less important to me than the flash aspect. Also, since we're not playing green or big black, the cheaper the spells, the better.

I wanted something with red in it so I checked the results before voting for RG lol. Maybe instead of voting on a color combination, we could have voted for first color and then second color? Oh well.

Updated with Journey into Nyx (mini) review. In summary, the only thing that looks interesting maybe is Dictate of the Twin Gods.

I think the Tariel deck in my sig fits what you're looking for pretty well besides the "synergy" requirement maybe. But it was made with all the others in mind.
