My 2 main considerations for PWs would be either Little Elspeth and Gideon for different purposes. Little Elspeth is a really fast clock that replaces itself in case of spot removal by simple making an extra dude, or even pumping a Colonnade if you have to - I think she's most useful against Tron and the like. Gideon is a great stall against swarming strategies most of the time, while doubling as spot removal and a fast clock, with the downside of being chump blocked by basically anything. In the expected new meta full of aggro and ramp, both have the merits to be included as a means to close out games.
If you play a Lingering Souls - Bitterblossom build, I'd try either BW Sorin and see which works the best. I want to like Bitterblossom, but I feel the life loss would be too big of an issue for it to be effective.
I like Jace, and if we go more tapout he's the 1st PW up for consideration.
In terms of creatures, I don't feel this is the time to try and go bigger than anybody, because we either won't have the time to do so or ramp strategies are going even bigger way faster than we can. I like going for a couple main Cliques - They are fast, evasive, and help us advance our gameplan. I don't like Ojutai, but he may be good considering people are no longer boarding Rending Volley. Concerning Aetherling, if you get to the point where you can cast it and protect itself
, I'd rather be casting a massive Zenith EOT.
I can confidently play Condemn now, which is great, and I went back to 3x Verdicts rather than the 2-1 split with Wrath in case Merfolk picks up speed. The wrath is in the board now. Two Tec Edges became Ghost Quarters since Affinity and Infect should be player more. No teferis at all (not really a change, but they were mainly a consuderation against Twin).
Leyline may get bumped to a 3-of in the board in the futute since it hits Burn, BGx, and Eldrazi.
Agreed on cutting Remand - I can see why it is way worse now.
Edit: On a second look, I can't justify Big Elspeth over the other planeswalkers, considering that if Tron and Aggro go up, Midrange BGx decks go down - and I don't see her being that good in other matchups.
Thanks for the input regarding the W sources - I'll try the singleton Gate in place of Tar Pit and see how it performs.
Regarding Ghost Quarter over Tectonic Edge - it's pretty much a meta call, lots of Infect, Affinity and Merfolk around usually (So the sideboard is a draft at the moment, only for testing)
PD: It's been a while since it's been this lively around here, that's nice.
Welp, that's precisely the problem with the new Last Word w/upside - it helps combo decks in U to go off protecting their combo pieces. I feel they could have reworked the card so that it could be better in a more control oriented shell. I feel it could be a good sideboard card for certain matchups like blue mirrors, but that's it
Exactly. The ruling for copying spells (or abilities, fwiw) that are on the stack is as follows on most cases:
If the original spell (or abilitiy) is modal (that is, it says "Choose one --" or the like), each copy will have the same mode(s). You can't choose different ones.
OR
If the original spell was kicked, the copy is kicked too. Other decisions made for the original spell, such as the value of X or the mode, are also copied.
Or a variation of the above
You can check The Gatherer if there's any doubt, or if you're looking for specific cases.
10/1/2009 If the spell Twincast copies is modal (that is, it says "Choose one --" or the like), the copy will have the same mode. You can't choose a different one.

It's from MTGGoldfish, online market activity.
PD: Also Little Elspeth, Gideon, Sorin LoI and Jace seem a whole lot better now.

I have doubts regarding the manabase - I feel I'm missing W sources. What changes would you make to it?
