Hi, id like to know if its normal color variation in the same card/block.
Recently purchased 4 noble hierarch from conflux and one of them like has more contrast and a little bit more thicc black letters.

Did light test and its ok, so the question is it a possible missprint or fake?

    Thanks in advance

hey, first time posting here, just building the deck and hopefully will have it in a week or so, i would like to ask, why people isnt trying telling time instead of hieroglyphic?, seems like a better option for me to setup terminus at instant speed and so.

And btw is there a discord for this deck? would like to join if possible Smile

Well i like to play with pws so i will try it maindeck i think and see if she works or not.

    My list looks like:
    24 lands
    3 vendilion
    2 snapcaster
    4 spellstutter
2 mistbind/kalitas/tasigur (idk what to fill here with)

    4 bitterblossom

    3 inquisition
    1 thoughtseize
    3 cryptic command
    2 mana leak
    4 fatal push
    1 murderous cut
    1 cast down
    2 opt
    2 collective brutality

    2 liliana the last hope

I' m not sure about the 2 opt on main and the 2 mistbinds as tasigur and kalitas are nice too.

And regarding the sideboard, i have no leylines, would grafdigger cage/relic of progenitus/nihil spellbomb be a good replace in the current meta?.

Also planning to run 2 extirpates on SB, as i saw osman running them but aside tron with field of ruin, what other MU,s is it good?

Hey, im planning to start playing again mtg and especifically ub faeries.
First of all congrats to roggers for his win, and second im interested in a list more or less like urs.

Only cards i lack atm and i plan to get if necessary are jms, collective brutalitys and liliana the last hope. Before huying those i first wanted to ask here if its worth the money for the deck and are really good cards for our gameplan, because i havent played since jms was unbanned and i can see liliana and britalitys being very good but havent tested them yet they are quite pricey.

    Thanks in advance Smile

Hey guys, just made a variant of Fae with Pack Rate. Visible here: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/pack-fae-1/

Let me know what you guys think. I value your opinions highly!

I would try ancestral in the deck cutting 1-2 pack rats, 1 snap, 1 discard and 1 cryptic and adding a land / removal to the main, you could even cut 1 sss but the list is so ok imho

yeah would be nice to test them, but will have to think about what to cut and its hard :/

interesting list on the mtggoldfish with 4 mistbind, 4 sss, 4 vendilions, 3 disfigures and 4 lilianas as removal. Ill give a shot the new liliana if its not so expensive when it comes out. Seems like it will do work for us.

my experience vs burn says that bitterblossom was dead in my hand the 2 matches i played against it. i just couldnt play it due to being burned by him or just killing myself. Mayb im wrong but i find it a bad card in that MU, burn experienced played also told me so.

and about escalate mechanic, can you just chose 1 first and then other once you have done the first or you have to chose all you want to do as you cast it?.

    Time to report, cause reasons.
FNM went well. I decided to play super tempo, sporting 3 Scion of Oona's and 0 Snapcasters/Kalitas(Kalitas was in side).

    Vs Junk:
Just outtempoed him game 1, he got me back on game 2. Game 3, I dismembered his turn 1 Noble Hierarch. I expect to do this a lot more often in the future. The potential damage intake from Hierarch is often 3+, and that's disregarding the ramp. Otherwise I kept a hand with Kalitas and kill spells and rode Kalitas to victory.

    Vs EldraziTron:
I've been itching to play against Newdrazi for a long time now. Game 1 on the draw, I kept a solid hand. Turn 1, he plays Tron piece 1. Turn 2 he plays Tron piece 2. At this point, I'm concerned So I V. Clique before he plays the third piece. In his hand I see the third piece, 2 Thoughtknot Seers, 2 Reality Smashers, and a Ancient Stirrings. I cross my fingers and cycle a Thoughtknot Seer. I somehow force my way through his creatures with my kill spells. Having an assembled board I don't activate my Ghost Quarters, least I give him the mana to cast Ancient Stirrings. Eventually win. Game 2, I have a Ghost Quarters+Surgical Extraction(yes, I moved it to the sideboard.) lock online. Win.

    Vs Affinity:
Lacking much experience with this matchup, I relish any chance I get to improve my skill in it. Game 1, I got stuck with GftT. Game 2 I had the win, but misplayed hard. It's extremely important that we know everything our opponents have. We're aiming for a Full Control Encounter in matchups like these. What is our opponent going to do? What is he/she going to do if I do X? What do I need to do to force lethal damage in before my opponent kills me?

    Vs Grixis Control:
    Win.
Of note: Mistbind Clique, into Mistbind Clique, into GftT to release my other first Mistbind Clique, is mean.

    Vs Burn:
Turn 1 Thoughtsieze into burn stinks. I cut my losses and take his only creature, a Kird Ape. Of note, he had 2 Lightning Bolts. Turn 2, looking at 2 Scion of Oona's in hand, Bitterblossom feels right. Turn 3/4 If I can stick both Scions, I'm home free. He throws a Bolt at me. I'm happy to not have to play around both. End of his turn I cast Scion 1, he bolts it. I feel sad, but end up drawing the third Scion next turn.I get my lock on, and start beating down. As a last ditch effort, he casts Ghor-Clan Rampager. Too often I've fallen into the trap of assuming my opponent is trying to bait me, but not this time. Cryptic tap and bounce BB. Swing for lethal next turn. Game 2, I won. Of note I had priority screwed up until five minutes ago. I used to think that after blockers were declared if I(nonactive player) didn't choose to do something, my opponent still could after. Now I realize that if my opponent passes priority to me, he doesn't get it back until after damage(unless I do something). I used to feel clever for baiting out Mutagenic Growths and Bloodrushes(like a did here) by choosing to pass priority back, and then killing the newly boosted creature after. Now I just feel stupid.
I agree. This matchup, thought tight, is still good. I'd go so far as to say it's favorable. Against aggressive decks, setting up a Full Control Encounter is extremely important. Aggressive decks are highly predictable.

Otherwise, this seems like a good set for us. Better than recent ones anyway. Even if none of the new cards have spots, they still are strong/unique enough to be worth considering. Thoughts on Collective Brutality?

hey congrats for the results, i got raped by burn yesterday due to my inexperience. Game 1 he just won me, there was nothing much more i could have done, after mulliganing he got a very good hand i couldnt stop. G2 otherwise i just sided HORRIBLY, had my bbs in, sided out a spellstutter (which is nice in this MU), vendilions... missed a land drop on turn 2 (having 4 lands in hand)... just played it terribly seriously so bad :P. But i was happy to learn how to side and learn the MU better, it was my first burn MU and my second FNM with faeries and it ended up 2-1-1 winning a bant eldrazi, an UR control, drawing with a jund (wich would have win me if turns didnt run out), and losing to burn (which could have done a ton better).

This is my current list that I'm going to play next.

    http://www.mtgvault.com/supast4r7/decks/ub-faeries-2/

I would add 2 spellsnares somewere for the rest, your list is the same as mine but im playing a tasigur and 25 lands. Having a 4/5 for 1-2 mana is so great in almost every matchup and he can give card advantage.

Im trying again tasigur, it feels great to cast a 4/5 for 1-2 cmc when you can protect him plus his ability is nice sometimes. Im already with 1 kalitas/1 tasigur MD instead of snaps. Spellsnare is nice on counter wars, eat tarmos, oozes, voices and a lot of problematic things. I think spellsnare is the same as disfigure in the way they can sit in your hand being useless in some MUs and they botj cost 1 and are instants :P.

    Greetings.

hi, i dont know about scions cause i havent play so much with them, but imho your deck need a little bit more removal, i would cut a cryptic and mayb the sword or batterskull to have at least 5 removals MD. About ancestral vision (that imo is a very good card but not in all the MUs) you could try removing an inquis, a leak and mayb an spellstutter but i wouldnt cut that last one because of scion.

A question, have you been screwed with countersquall for not having the colored mana to pay it? im thinking about swap negates to countersqualls. I also would add a grafdigger cage more, its a total blowout most of times vs coco decks.

Also a question for experienced faeries players, could some1 help me with sideboarding on the most common MU's? my list is more or less like mtgcardpricer with a kalitas main.

    My SB (open to suggestions) is : 2 damnations, 1 kalitas, 2 negates, 1 dispel, 1 thoughtseize, 2 grafdiggers, 2 disfigure, 2 spellskite, 2 EE's.

From my testings AV is a good 1 cmc MD card that you tend to board out in fast aggro MUs. And even on those if they dont have a fast hand is still very decent but there should be better SB options.

Currently want to try again 1/2 snaps MB and a sword of f&f mayb. Im playing currently a kalitas and a batterskull in those spots. And mayb cut 1 spellstutter for a 4th vision.

There is an interesting version osman did of the deck on mtg online which focus on removal/counter mb with no discard and an interesting sb that has the other mix of the deck (more removal, kalitas and discard)

    http://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/433339#paper

Ill give it a shot on xmage

PD: damnations are so damn expensive Frown
