Thank you, but what about a scenario where one of my creatures can kill my opponents creature... so all my creatures have to block a 3/3. I have a 3/3, 4/4, 5/5 for example. Does my opponents 3/3 still make all 3 of my creatures block, or does his 3/3 die once its blocked by one of my creatures, since they have enough to kill his creature, therefore my other creatures CAN block, but dont HAVE to, because the opposing creature died already because it took 3 lethal demage.

They all block the attacking creature simultaneously. And once a blocker is assigned it remains blocking that creature. The attacker can then assign its damage however the player wants. In this scenario, the best the attacker can manage is deal its 3 damage to the 3/3 and trade, and the 4/4 and 5/5 will live but will still only be blocking that one attacking creature. If that 3/3 has deathtouch however, it could assign 1 damage to all 3 and kill all of them and the attacker would also die.

Seems pretty interesting as a commander. She buffs "destroy target creature" removal by a lot, which is normally very outclassed by "nonland permanent" removal (which mono black doesn't really get), and her built-in protection nerfs opposing targeted removal pretty hard as well.

Have to remember that in D&D any mid-level spellcaster (Wizard, Sorc, Druid, Cleric etc.) can planeswalk easily, though only within the D&D multiverse. No spark is needed, just access to the right spell.

Whilst it's initially disappointing to see Llolth as a walker rather than a God - does this mean wizards are expanding her lore to be able to planeswalk away from the D&D multiverse and into the MTG realms? Perhaps in the future we'll see the spider queen interfering in Innistrad or the like.

Honestly, I wouldn't be against Lolth getting to the mtg planes. She'd be an interesting big bad

So do we need to draft the dungeons, or are they like tokens?

The hell with those planes, where's Alara????

Agreed. Alara has been criminally underrepresented since they started doing return sets regularly. Wouldn't mind going back to Tarkir as well. Maybe they're afraid of designing around 3 color factions again for the main theme of the set. Hard to make the 3 color costs feel worth it while keeping cards balanced sometimes

I mean we had ikoria last year which was a tri color set.

Oh yea duh true! Well then I hope to see Alara back soon. Esper especially!

I love phyrexians, but I really hope they're not in Innistrad. It'd be nice to see Innistrad be itself again this time around imo.

I wouldn't be totally against 1 praetor showing up like Vorinclex in Kaldheim I suppose

  • posted a message on How do you deal with long losing streaks?
That question really depends on what you want out of the game. Do you want to increase your win rate in turn lowering theirs? Do you just want to get more comfortable with losing and learn to enjoy it more?

The best way to deal with it IMO is to focus on getting better, while keeping in mind that what you can't control is not worth getting upset over.

However, there's some key pieces of information you haven't mentioned for us to figure out how to help you get better. Which are, how much research do you put into getting mechanically better and politically better at the game? How far do you feel like you've grown as a player in terms of skill in the last two years? To know what would be most beneficial for you to focus on, we need to know where you are at in those particular skills vs where the winner might be at

Watched this earlier as well. Was getting a real sense of dread for furture MTG. Though MaRo's tumblr post asking players how they'd like to see future crosovers, and the resounding response of "silver bordered only", gives me hope

Is this supposed to be fear-mongering? Even if they did go out of business (which is speculation to the extreme), is the USPS without competition? I mean, UPS and FedEx are out there. I hear they know how to get product from point A to point B.
Sadly the USPS is partially without competition. Certainly, UPS and FedEx exist but are you aware that a lot of the time neither gets the package from point A to B. Instead they get the package from A to C (which is a location near B but not actually B) and the USPS gets it from C to B. Simply put none of the USPS competition has the infrastructure to replace them because they are in fact relying on the infrastructure themselves.

Also there is the fact that UPS and Fedex (especially Fedex) greatly over charge for their services and aren't really competitive for smaller mail. At their rates, selling singles is barely worth it for cards at $10 or under
