Trump is going to deport all the Mexicans, build a giant wall, and ban all Muslims from the country. And through all of this, I'm supposed to tell my son to not hate people because of the color of their skin...sad times.
Modern is so worth getting into. There's a ton of decks that are all viable option. And it's great that it changes slowly. I used to be super into modern and played it every FMM religiously. Then some things happened in my life and I can't play as often as I once could. But when I come back to play, Jund is still Jund, Burn is still Burn and so on. So I'm still very familiar with most of the decks and I can always compete. This isn't to say some decks don't get better with time like Dredge.
I agree, Jace's Sanctum becomes Brain in a Jar. Hydrolash could be Chilling Grasp. I used that along side Hydrolash last FNM and it performed much better than expected. We lose the hitting every creature effect and the cantrip but unless something better comes out in Kaldesh then that's where I think we are going. The card I'm most concerned with losing is Prism Ring. It's such an amazing card in this deck and there really isn't anything that I can think of that would help fill its role. Hoping on Kaladesh for that one.
What do we think of Nephalia Academy? Discard hurts us a lot so this is an out. I am not sure really how many to run though. I have tried a one of and when I get it against a black deck it is great but I can see being underwhelming against anything else so I have mine in the sideboard. Take Inventory has been amazing. I have that in place of Nagging Thoughts. And just a pet card of mine, but feels good enough, Fortune's Favor. I don't really know if anyone would think that card is great but it sure creates a super fun mini mind game with my opponents so that too me is worth it haha. I have some reservations about Curious Homunculus. Being a creature turns on all of the opponents' removal in game one. In my experience with the deck, shutting down those cards is what leads to a lot of game one victories. Not only do we drown them in actual card advantage, there is also quite a bit of virtual card advantage too. I see its potential though, just don't want it to be a removal magnet. Geier Reach Sanitarium looks like a good addition, I should test that.
On topic: I got pretty excited seeing Take Inventory although I would have preferred an Accumulated Knowledge reprint but I guess at instant speed it's just way too good nowadays. Just like that Galvanic Bombardment not hitting players.
When I first started playing Bogles I had one basic Plains because that's the generally accepted consensus. A while back there was a Bogle deck that won a MTGO PTQ that ran two basic Plains so I told myself "well if it worked for that guy then I'll give it a try too" and honestly I havn't had any trouble with it. I of corse thought of the nightmare scenario where I draw Bogle and Plains in my opener but that really doesn't happen often enough to complain about. The extra Plains is nice when you're facing down aggro, Zoo, Affinity, Burn, and you can't afford to fetch and shock and is wonderful against stuff like Blood Moon when you can fetch out more basics.
Been awhile since a played Bogles. I had been focused on Burn preparing for the GP. With that behind us I decided it's time to go back to playing my awesome Bogle deck
Round 2
Vs Lantern Control
I friggin hate this deck! Didn't matter that I brought in hate he just milled it all away and had 2 Ensnaring Bridge. I'm pretty sure I could have at least trolled long enough for a draw but I didn't care that much. Any and all advice on how to beat this awful deck is wonderful. But i understand that some cards/decks Bogles just loses to.
Loss 0-2
Round 3
Vs Slivers
Sliver can fly but I have reach so good enough for the win. Game 2 I misplayed by not dropping Gaddock Teeg early enough and had to deal with Collected Company. Game 3 I didn't make that mistake at all and had super Teeg decked out in Umbras and Daybreaks. Fun stuff.
Win 2-1
Round 4
Vs Bushwhacker Zoo
Game 1 I tutored up Daybreak with Open the Armory ftw. Game 2 He lands Spellskite, I tutor Gelid Shackles and put an end to that nonsense. I go for Spirit Mantle into Daybreak for lethal and get Deflecting Palmed. Ouch. Game 3 kept him off me with first strike until I land Daybreak and he just scoops it up. Too much life gain to handle.
Win 2-1
Overall I had a very fun night. Bogles did its job by destroying Aggro all day. I was very happy with Open the Armory. Main board Gelid didn't feel bad. I even used it to get past blockers. I was very happy I got to tutor up Gelid to stop Spellskite right away, that's how I pictured it happening in my head. Stupid Lantern got me but oh well. Ensnaring Bridge is just a hard card to deal with.
I just made the switch to 19 from 20 and honestly havnt noticed a difference. It's well worth it.
On another note, I have been having a tough time against Eldrazi & Taxes (BW Death & Taxes). What advice can you guys give me on how to improve that match up?
If Rule of Law is in play and a cast Lava Spike (being one spell) can I then suspend Rift Bolt? or do I have to sequence them so I suspend first? or does the order not matter?
I was playing MTGO and this happened. I went to try to suspend the Rift Bolt but the game wouldn't let me click on the card to suspend at all. Was this just a bug? or the actual rule?
Tell that to Tarmogoyf getting hit by a Bolt

Round 1
Vs Grixis Delver
Any aggro strategy Bogles gobbles up. Delvers look pretty silly when my Bogle had Spider Umbra on it and Gurmag Angler and Tasigur, the Golden Fang quickly got outclassed. Fun game 2 when I opened with Leyline of Sanctity and he had the Thoughtseize.
Win 2-0
