i love what they did to Jace's character. so much improved. also, Vraska's someone i didn't give much thought before, but her interactions with Jace made me quite a fan of hers. heck, i'm one of those who ship Jace x Vraska. no more manipulative, centuries-old necromancers for Jace, please!
good work Alison and the rest of the team!
i, too, would like to see a sideboarding guide. i am playing mono red and have a jeskai deck ready.
thanks in advance!
Searing Blood was absolutely brutal against my opponent.
i see. i'll note them all, especially the lesson in the last paragraph. i recently returned to MtG last September, i quit at around Urza's Saga. playing casually back then sideboarding wasn't really popular. it is only now that i am playing competitively at FNM and other tournaments that i take sideboarding seriously.
many thanks!
thanks for the detailed analysis! i have a some questions:
1. why did you board in Eidolon of the Great Revel vs Abzan? don't they rely more on 4 CMC spells?
2. against U/W Heroic, is Eidolon of the Great Revel also good against them, since they rely on many low CMC spells?
get those Eidolons out early so that opponents will damage themselves while casting and buffing their creatures, or be hesitant in doing so. then when he's got a huge creature out that attacks, use Deflecting Palm (this card doesn't say "target" so they can't really use protection from color spells, all they can do is counter spell it). hopefully he'll be in Stoke the Flames or Jeskai Charm damage range after all that happens.
is that a reasonable strategy? thanks!
i find that they always seem to leave an untapped land for their protection spells. because jeskai charm is 3 cmc and requires 3 colors, it's hard to pull off. i am contemplating on using Tyrant's Machine or Briber's Purse. at least those will slow them down in theory. but has anyone tried?
btw, how many phoenixes do you have in your deck? i have two.
Narset, instead of being a khan, will instead be a planeswalker and Sarkhan will instead of being a PW will be a khan.
to avoid time paradox and destroying the timeline, for Ugin to survive, someone must replace him. Sarkhan will die in his stead. so in the present, there will only be one Sarkhan, but not he's not a planeswalker.
Thanks!
