Hello all! My local LGS had created this format about a little over a month ago. It's called Re:extended, it's basically an extended Lite format. A lot of people were getting disillusioned with standard, with the costs and now the format rotates even faster, making it harder to justify. We've been sticking with modern, and commander, but we miss the innovative format and freshness of rotating formats. So the store owner invented this. It's the 4 most recent standard legal sets and the core sets.

This way, the format still rotates and changes up, but cards are legal a little longer, making the costs easier to justify. And so far, this has been a hit. We constantly get about 20 people every tuesday. People say to just play modern and legacy, but we do, and this isn't it. It my share cards, but it's not a "modern Lite."
