I am very surprised to come back two years later and see this thread is still not retired.
I hope all of you filthy casuals are still around and enjoying life. Drop a line maybe and tell the story.
Otherwise, see you all in a few years.
Ran into this last night playing and really didn't feel right after looking it up to let my opp choose which copy effect to let a Moritte enter as a copy of.
He casts Moritte. I cast Mystic Reflection targeting another creature for Moritte to enter as. How would this play out?
Thanks for your help here

Somehow we keep missing the retired clan thread by mere inches. Here's a post to keep up the tradition.
Been going solely commander playing for the past year and it doesn't seem I'll stop. My 60 card decks rot in my deckbox now...:(
However, I keep it casual at the table and look for any reason to build a deck around an unusual theme rather than a highly efficient build. Arcades, the Strategist is in testing phase right now. I love me some defenders!
Other than that I jumped on the Minecraft bandwagon after swearing it off. My kids love it and I discovered I love resource hunting and applying practical build applications. It sounds boring, but it's a wonderful time for me.
Hope you all are well.
Until a year from now, see you guys and gals around.
That's a solid set up. The only thing that I could see that would have pushed you over the edge would have history of benalia. I played green white and went three and one with two wins after side boarding in that card and it was a work horse for winning games. Both rounds played afterwards I went two and 0.
It was my first limited sealed pre-release in 13 years and I was worried I wouldn't do well but was very satisfied. The only problem I had was with a red white aggro deck that pushed out creatures fast with high power creatures backed by the solid combat tricks of white.
I LOVE the message at the end of this. Welcome Home.
As a player and lore reader since tempest block, Dominaria certainly is my true home since the beginning of my days with Magic. Awesome.
Hey Stooge. It's good to hear from you. I'm on the east coast, so I won't be attending. I think a few of us still lurk on the board if we want to try a clan GMAD or CDCC.
It is kinda already East Coast. It's in Indianapolis, Indiana. I'm down for a clan GMAD (or, CMaD or KTFMaD, if you follow, lol).
I wish I could as I live about three hours south. I've been wanting to go to a Con for years! It would be pretty cool. I'll tell my friends that are going to stop by and check it out though.
Geomancer is pushed as it lets you drop of of your lands you used to cast and make another 1 drop the same turn. A Desperate Ritual with legs may be a little over the edge. But, it could also be just fine. I'm piss poor at evaluating tournament level cards.
Desperate Ritual isn't really as good if you have to spend 2 of the mana on a Goblin Piker. Though the ability to color fix like that in red is a bit odd.
Meta Goblin piker and a 1-1 or possibly two two on turn to is definitely good
Allied with Fire1RR
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature has haste. Landfall — Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, gain control of enchanted creature until end of turn. Untap it.
Borozi, The Faltering1RR
Planeswalker - Borozi [-1]: Create a 1/1 red Goblin creature token with haste. [-2]: Creatures you control get +2/+0 until end of turn. [-3]: Creatures can’t block this turn. [5]
Magma Dam2RR
Creature - Wall R: Magma Dam deals 1 damage to each creature without flying and each player.
0/4
Reckless Geomancer1R
Creature - Human Shaman
When Reckless Geomancer enters the battlefield, destroy target land. Its controller may search his or her library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle his or her library.
2/1
Allied with Fire is fun! Rare or above for sure!
The planeswalker certainly will draw some attention to the fact it has no ultimate. Perhaps up -1 to -2 and make 2 or -3 and make three? Really needs more oomph for it to be interesting. I'd say -3: make 3 would be alright. Adds some depth to the choices you need to make wih it.
Magma Dam looks fun! Pyrohemia creature for the win! May need to cost more for the body, but only just R. Don't forget Defender.

All in all, these are the kinds of cards that I like in red, my least played color.
