Your sideboard looks okay, but I'm not sure about Torpor Orb. It's decent against Amulet Bloom and Junk Company (in addition to the obvious Twin), but I'm not sure it does enough in the current metagame. I think I'd swap it out for a Life from the Loam or Crucible of Worlds as a way to either deal with land destruction postboard or a way to potentially lock out someone in the mirror (or Amulet Bloom) by combining it with Ghost Quarter.
Yes! I was also feeling that torpor orb was a little bit awkward, I liked it for the junk company and amulet combo. I really like the idea of swapping it for crucible of worlds/life from the loam. What else would you sb out for them vs jund/junk?
Well My personal problem with karn is that while he can ultimate after 2 turns if left unchecked, he needs more protection than Ugin does. Also I use the choice of nissa, prismatic omen and crucible as my game two against hate cards to if all else fails beat the opponent into submission with 4/4 lands.
The point of Karn is not using his ultimate at all. He can remove key parts of certain decks, even aggro ones(archdruid in elves, for example), wins the game against control if he is not quickly responded to and is our best way to interact with combo decks.
No one doubts Ugin is a beast, but I would never underestimate Karn.
What do you think about TItan's Presence? Doesn't seem too good, but at the least it is interesting.
I think it might be a good spot removal against decks like infect. The fact that you can tutor it up with a stirrings is huge and usually you run 3 wurmcoil + Emrakul (I run Ulamog in addition to that) so having that might be a thing.
I will definitely test with it!
Didn't think about the Ancient Stirrings interaction! That could be cool.
To the GQ on Valakut thing: destroying Valakut prevents all damage from the triggers of that certain Valakut.
The ability is like: Whenever a Mountain enters the battlefield under your control, if you control at least 5 others, Valakut deals 3 damage to target creature or player.
But a Valakut no longer on the battlefield deals no damage, like if you destroy an attacking or blocking creature before the combat damage step. You can ask a judge about this, if he is professional enough he will tell you this too.
About Llanowar Wastes: it is neccessary. You can either play 21 Lands MB or one GQ in your SB if you choose to play Slaughter Games.
If the trigger of the valakut is on the stack, there is no need of a valakut in play for it to resolve, just 'other 5 mountains'.
I wouldn't play Needle because then you have a problem with your Oblivion Stone. You already have 2 Ghost Quarter for Tron and Manlands. As for cutting Slaughter Games: You will need that vs. Ad Nauseam and Scapeshift. If you don't play it, you will probably loose every Best of 3. I'd do it like 3 SG and 2 Boil as your combo/blue hate.
@LordSeth (dat name man:)): Congrats to your PPTQ results. Winning that many matches in a row is amazing.
Another hint vs. any Valakut decks: If you can destroy the Valakuts with Ghost Quarters in response to the topmost triggered ability of Valakut, you prevent all the damage that certain land would deal (so if he has 2 Valakut and 6 Mountains (36 damage) and you kill one in response to the topmost triggered ability on the stack, you will take 18 damage. With Spellskite, only 12 lost lifepoints).
I think that if you GQ a valakut when the triggers are on the stack, they still resolve as usual.
The key there is that if you GQ one mountain in response to the first trigger, then, if he doesn't find another one, you would just take the damage (6) from one mountain, the one you have destroyed (since its trigger, opposing to the rest, still 'sees' other 5 mountains). However, correct me if I'm wrong.
PD: I'm talking about Scapeshift more than 'any' valakut deck
Hi, what do you think of the Griselhoal matchup? They seem to play 4xBlood Moon sb, so we should bring our nature's claim. Pyroclasms should go out, but what do you sb in? Spellskites are not worth it here right? And what about ugin and o-stones? I feel like o-stones could kill something that has been through the breached and ugin can clear Worldspine's tokens, but I'm not sure whether they are worth it or not.
Hi, this is my list. I'd like to know what do you think about the sideboard, as I think I may have too much hate for twin. Moreover, I don't really know how many cards I should sideboard for twin, I was thinking of: 2xSpellskite, 4xNature’s Claim, 2xBoil, 2xRending Volley, but then I don't know what I should quit from the mainboard. Finally, are there any specific things to be taken into account when playing against the different variants of twin? Or would you sideboard in the same way against all of them?
Sorry for my English
I've just watched that Atarka's command is rapidly increasing its price. I would like to add them to my Burn deck, but I'm not sure if I should try and get them right now or wait to see if it lowers its price.
I like infect but I'm not sure how well positioned it is in the current meta =/
Really well positioned, it's one of the top 5 decks in the format right now.
Yeah but the new podless deck with collected company wouldn't be a good matchup, right? There is a couple of those in my local store. Anyway, it is the kind of deck I'm looking for.

Also, I am going to play in a RPTQ in two weeks, what do you think about my list? Especifically, the sb?
