Nothing great for constructed, but they're still fun and cool. That's the sign of a good set, I say - plenty of powerful cards, and the ones that aren't are still interesting. I'm really looking forward to the prerelease - this seems like a really fun set for limited.

If Texas (or any other state, for that matter) secedes, I can guarantee that the taxes on its citizens will be far higher than any taxes Obama will ever impose on them. It takes a LOT of money to set up a country.

Best at bring down other insects? Probably ants.

Best at being the scariest effing bug I've ever seen? Asian hornet. Which is why they get my vote.

Agreed on all counts. It takes a heck of a lot for a freaking wikipedia article to scare me.

EDIT: Jaharu: Ant-proof buildings can be constructed out of concrete.

A second, good version of this game would be a complete rebalancing of all statistics (because agility has been pretty much next to useless for me) and perks as well (too many of the weapons like the hammer and powers such as bears are gamebreaking), and taking out the vast majority of randomness in the game (as in give us the ability to at least control what we want to give to our brutes when they level up).

The randomness it what makes it so fun, IMO.

I realized that I never put links to my brutes in this thread!

    k-reazy.mybrute.com
    f-reazy.mybrute.com
    cornish-beast.mybrute.com

I've made a ton, but these have had the most success. I've already given pupils to most of the people in this thread.

EDIT: Just made a pupil for Kankennon (Gillory). If you return the favor, give the pupil to K-reazy.

The sai is great. Automatically disarms the opponent's weapon, multiattacks like a knife, can block opponent's attacks a good deal of the time. Unfortunately my character keeps ditching his sai halfway through each battle for a club. Still went 6-0 on my first day though, in addition to beating the crap out of his level 3 master who I made earlier who also went 6-0. Now he's at 3rd level and got a huge speed boost.

The .PDF likely had more to do with piracy, those were widely shared online.

Definitely. Though, I doubt it'll stop the piracy. All it takes is one guy who cuts off the binding of his book and scans everything per book release. And the sheer utility of having the book in .pdf form could push some people to pirate that would have bought the legal .pdf otherwise.

Assuming you're still looking for responses...

Age 17 (basically 18, birthday's almost here) male

    1. Dude (Noun): A teenage or adult male. "That dude is wearing a cowboy hat."
    2. Guy (Noun): A person. Only refers to a male in singular, but can be used for a mixed group in plural. "What's up with those guys?"
    3. Chick (Noun): A teenage or adult, but not elderly, female. "That chick is crazy."
    4. Bicurious (Adjective): Willing to interact with a member of either gender in a sexual manner. "That guy's bicurious - I saw him checking out both me and my girlfriend."
    5. Out of the closet (Adjective phrase): Openly homosexual, implies that the individual was "in the closet" (not openly homosexual) at some point. "My aunt's out of the closet now, and she's much happier."

It's hard to get your hands on the actual fruit since they spoil quickly, but it's easy to get chewable tablets that have been made with the chemical from the fruit, and the effect is the same. I've tried it - it's awesome.

I fail to see how this article proves anything. Every statement is prefaced by "Some conspiracy theorists say..."

If there were an article like this for every conspiracy theory, or even just every conspiracy theory involving Obama, there'd be no room for real news.

Deus ex machina in Eva? From Wikipedia:

A deus ex machina (IPA: [ˈdeɪʌs ɛks ˈmakʰɪna], literally "god from the machine") is a plot device in which a surprising or unexpected event occurs in a story's plot, often to resolve flaws or tie up loose ends in the narrative.

How can anybody possibly say that the original TV series resolved its flaws and tied up loose ends?

Regarding Eva, I have to recommend the Rebuild movies. The first one is the only one that's out right now, and I enjoyed it a lot. The second is set to come out in June, and from the promotional material it looks like they'll be shaking up a lot of the stuff from the second half of the series onwards (or maybe even earlier than that, considering that the first movie only covers the first three angel fights). I think that Gainax can take the Rebuild movies a couple of ways - they can give it a better ending than before, or they can make everybody think that the ending will be better this time then mindscrew the audience.
