I also think displacer feels clunky... just feels like I want to do other things with the three mana most of the time. But good for those who are having success with it!
@Archmage, I've been splashing black since the Eldrazi came onto the scene, for Tidehollow Sculler and Wasteland Strangler, as well as Zealous Persecution to deal with the Eldrazi Mimic and Eldrazi Skyspawner. It seems to me that the Persecution is also the cleanest answer to the Drowner's tokens as well, as well as using Tidehollow to preemptively strip them from their hands. Granted, the Sculler's might be worse given the increased removal that U/W brings, but I think on the whole it's our best answer. Of course, this is not a perfect catch all, but against 'Drazi, nothing really is, and I've been having considerably more success with the BW deck (against the field as a whole) because of these additions.
The Strangler's also cleanly kill the Eldrazi Displacer, while also providing much needed main deck removal for all the merfolk and kiki-chord decks that I imagine will be popping up. I also can't say enough for Vault of the Archangel in this creature heavy meta - and it's honestly one of the only reasons I'm still running 3 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and 3 Blade Splicers.
Honestly, wizards could save a lot of heart ache if they started over with no banned list and then tried from there. Is four months of a free-for-all to determine what really needs to be banned in the Modern environment any worse than asking what is the correct color combo for eldrazi?
I've always dreamed of this, lol. Or have some sort of free-for-all modern world championship event every 4 years where no bans apply. I think that would be epic!! It would get it out of our system enough no to complain, plus the build up to the event would be great I think... In my dreams; I know!
That wouldn't work at all, because the competing broken synergies wouldn't allow you to figure out what was actually a problem and what was just a problem because of something else. For instance, maybe JTMS ends up looking totally fair in this format, but only because there's so many broken T2-3 kills with other cards. Thankfully, Wizards isn't going to do this kind of ridiculous and unprecedented ban maneuver, although I do see them unbanning something in April as a kind of apology. Then again, I also see them unbanning nothing because they will argue they don't know what a Twinless metagame looks like (one without Eldrazi).
Back to reality... I agree lol. And I have a sense/ fear they wont ban/unban anything because of whatever reason, but really it's because they may feel it is not profitable to do so at the moment.

What Does Nyx-Fleece, Frontline Medic, And Swords Have To Do With That Information?
My basis always starts at mono-white and then hopes that with additional information from the forum we can compound back to micro-splashes. After enough games of magic, I realized that the toughness in our deck has become the issue for most of our matches. It requires us to make trades or double block at pivotal moments in tempo'ing a game that eventually lands us behind. Too many of our cards are trying to accomplish too many goals simultaneously while also hoping to avoid removal spells. After Success with wall of resurgence, I started questioning why the card worked so well? The answer was the virtual card advantage it provides inside. Once the wall is deployed it creates multiple cards that the opponent has to deal with that lands their card value behind too far behind. Let's dig deeper into some card choices and examples...
Nyx-Fleece Ram: This guy is potentially a really good sideboard card against burn and flexible enough resource against the other aggressive decks and even Eldrazi. The 0/5 body is very much wall-esque but doesn't actually have defender. It can clog a ground up, gain critical life points, and eventually suite up and attack (we'll get to that point shortly). The resources most decks will have to use to kill him is much like using hymn to tourach against the opponent. Attack and bolt probably the best for the opponent while something like using terminate or abrupt decay is way harder to justify. I'm also excited to see this guy with HONOR OF THE PURE. Making 1/6 doesn't seem like a big deal but it actually is in the establishing meta.

I'm feeling the Nyx-Fleece Ram. As soon as wall of resurgence was discussed I thought of the ram since I don't have any walls and thought the inclusion of a large body to stall the ground made sense in this meta as you point out. I played the ram a lot in standard, and it was often a wrench in the opponents plan, which caused just enough disruption to have my game plan come on top. I'm still messing around with other cards, but if they don't pan out I'm trying the ram as well.
Its a neat card but I don't think any cards with those keywords have been "played" in this deck ever.
Ya, thought so... just wants to make you break/ abuse it lol. They are dirt cheap... got a playset of the promos in case one day a good fit for us is printed lol
Currently running a W/b list, but came across this card Mwonvuli Beast Tracker. Do you think there could be a use for it in a W/g Build to find silver bullets?
Could we see a new taxer or new version of thalia or her effect in this set?
That would be fan-firkin-tastic!!... and it would be perfect if the upgraded version was no more than 3cmc... even if legendary we could have two Thalias on the board!!!
Wasteland Strangler has a ton of fuel in the Eldrazi version with flickerwisp, tidehollow sculler (best target), thought-knot, and the paths, And can lead to some great blow outs (thalia blocking reality smasher, vial in a strangler is my personal favourite). I have also moved my kitchen finks to the sideboard, but in its "value" slot are matter reshapers, not the stranglers. Got to squeeze that Eldrazi Temple value!
I'm totally behind the strangler in the main, and totally agree about having a lot of synergy with many of our creatures. I haven't gone deep eldrazi on my build, but the strangler alone makes for some great plays! I feel it is actually a natural fit in a W/b build.
If you are going to play Oriss then you should find a way to play one main deck Sword of Light & Shadow. No harm in including a good card that can also give you random free wins with her Grandeur ability.
lol... Oh man... hadn't thought of that. I typically don't run the swords, but may put one in for kicks and see just how often I can pull it off.

The match was fairly standard with lots of disruption. Funny enough I started with the anti-eldrazy deck on the first round. I didn't draw into any of the drazi hate, and was able to disrupt the game plan with arbiter, quarters, blink effects, and newly on the list the strangler. The second round I boarded the more standard cards and won the game through Thalia, relic-warder, blink effects, and again, the strangler.
Against W/u Titan control [1-2]
These were actually very fun rounds even though I did not get the win. I went in with the standard version of my deck [Thalia, Familiar, Vryn]. He piloted his deck very well, and it was extremely interactive, All our creatures and spells paid their weight in gold. I cant say I had trouble with anything in particular in his deck, and probably vice-versa. It simply came down to great synergy on both sides. I had not played against this deck yet, but here is a list I found of it http://www.gatheringmagic.com/kevincrimin-video-03202015-playing-on-a-budget-modern-wu-titan-control/
Abzan Midrange/ Junk [2-1]
Lost first round to inquisition, goyf, scooze. I was not able to apply enough pressure. 2nd and 3rd rounds I boarded all my drazi hate cards, and it worked great against the abzan. painter allowed additional exile effects with lightcaster and she was generally great in this match.
Last round my opponent had to leave and he forfeited the match, which was a shame because I would have liked more data. Overall I was very happy with the drazi hate changes. However I was especially happy with Wasteland Strangler and how much synergy it has with blink effects followed by the additional -3/-3. I cannot say enough about this card. Another card I was very happy with was Oriss, Samite Guardian. I had no walls, but she turns chomp blockers into walls as long as she's on the board... grandeur is just icing.
It's too early to tell if my deck will be viable, but at least it was not a dud this time around.
At 6 loyalty that minus ability is crazy... love it
What's your current list?

Thanks to LtGlitter I will probably include the sword of light and shadow since I run Oriss, Samite Guardian. Again, we'll se what happens, but just want to see it combo off once lol.
