i love gaze of granite? but in modern, my Death Cloud is often X=3 or X=4... which also eats lands. a GoG for the same mana investment kills my own Lili and Garruk Wildspeaker, nuking all dat advantage. oh, and it kills my own chalice=1.
still think it's pretty neat. but it seems weird that something this potent doesn't automatically slide right into a BG rock deck. shrug.
not to mention, he makes off-tribal 3/3s and overrun accidentally wins.
speaking of accidentally winning, might of oaks, in particular the one from urza's legacy with the squirrel art, gets Triple Style Points as a singleton.
Apostle's Blessing is probably better in 99% of situations, but have you considered a singleton Artful Dodge? +6/+0 and unblockable for UU can end games real fast.
it's not some big obvious carving up in the ceiling, immediately noticeable as soon as you walk in. it's made of light playing off of the architecture and a very specific shaft of light coming through another pillar. it's only viewable from a very specific angle in 3D space from inside this building. pretty subtle. works perfectly. A-OK with me that it's not an easily identifiable trinket.
oh! this is custom chandra thread now. neat! chandra's my second favorite character... after Jaya. yeah, i have a type.
this one's my favorite of the various iterations i've mused about:
RR
Chandra-Lou Who, Who Costs No More Than Two
Planeswalker - Chandra 0: Until end of turn, if CARD is on the battlefield, instant and sorcery spells you cast cost R less. 0: Draw a card unless an opponent has CARD deal 3 damage to him or her. 0: Until your next turn, whenever a creature attacks you or a planeswalker you control, CARD deals 2 damage to that creature.

Maro already said Chandra gets to lead a block in the near future, there was a big discussion on Tumblr about it at one point a few months back. Basically people asked why Jace always leads blocks, he gave a bunch of examples and said Chandra gets to be the title character for an upcoming one.

one of my favorite auras ever
my first ever win in MtG came off a dork with a weird coat on it. good times.
also, re: worst artwork: giant strength, from Legends / 4E.
as a side note, why did they bother with the copy ability on Melek, Izzet Paragon if all the cool izzet stuff casts it from exile?

p.s. it survives Firespout!
For Squee, Goblin Nabob and for Haakon, Stromgald Scourge and Nameless Inversion and Fiery Temper and ALL OF THE THINGS.
