Well damn, I was really hoping there wasn't going to be anything in these precons that was an auto-include in every one of my decks because most of them are pretty well foiled out. I guess its time to be sad.:sadcool:
The full spoiled list that featured C.Viper and her features is likely not correct because it features Lei Lei (or Hsien-Ko, however it is listed on there) after Niitsuma or Ono confirmed that there would be no more Darkstalkers in the game.
It has a lot of cool interactions. One of my favorites being Vanish Into Memory. I think it will be a fun card to play, but not particularly powerful by any means.
Thanks for the constructive input here by R_E and jeff. Do you think we could give this thread the "Orb thread" treatment and have one thread for price analysis (possibly even stickied as long as it is the newest set) and an entirely separate thread for discussion? I think it would be incredibly helpful in being able to see trends in prices, etc.
I'm pretty sure we would see:
1. Captain Sisay
2. Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary
3. Zur, the Enchanter
4. one of the Rav guys (probably Savra because Niv was printed in Dragons)
5. Squee, Goblin Nabob in old art (hopefully)
6. Doran the Siege Tower
7. Pheldagrif
8. Chromium
9. Rafiq of the Many
10. Memnarch
11. Toshiro Umezawa
12. Serra's Sanctum, Gaea's Cradle, or Tolarian Academy
13. Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
14. Akroma Angel of Wrath
15. Plant from the next set.
Time constraints mostly. Both players have 3 minutes to shuffle which under normal conditions should be more then enough time. Fortunetly or unfortunetly (depends on how you look at it) when your dealing with a high level tournement with big prizes on the line there are always going to be people trying to game the system to win (Saito stalling at the GP and Craig Wescoe come to mind most resently). The judges are there to prevent this kind of thing but most events have a lot more players then judges and they can only be in so many places at once.
Now that I think about it pro magic has had a heck of a bad summer for scandles.
First off, Finkel was caught cheating at a Columbus Prerelease back in Masques block, but no action was taken because the opponent couldn't prove it. Secondly, Wescoe didn't even do anything- literally at all in that situation.
We are one or two 1-2 drop artifacts short of even making it playable. When you start seriously considering Iron Myr, it is time to give up.

Legion is okay, but a little obscure- Granfaloon however...
Realistically, its going to be called "Myr Ball"
Koth will be called Koth, no nickname needed. Same with Elspeth and Venser.

Heartless Hidetsugu + Furnace of Rath
Maga, Traitor to Mortals + Big Black Mana
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Lightning Crafter + Sac Engine
This deck would be so much fun to play.
Play both. Both are effects that make the deck run very well.
Leyline of Punishment's viability is questionable. If you really want an effect like that, play Sulfuric Vortex.
