That's very interesting. Although the only time the 1/1 would be beneficial for us is when we have anthems up.
It puts it at a disadvantage because:
1: The token is tapped.
2. The token most likely is attacking to a beefier creature and will die.
3. It's reliant on an attacking source. (Shouldn't be an issue with the amount of flyers we produce.)
I could POTENTIALLY see this in a Selesnya Token build.
End conclusion for me: Presents potential depending on how the next sets stack up token-wise.
Okay, I'm beating a dead horse most likely but I need all of your thoughts on replacing Spectral Procession for 3x Midnight Haunting and a Secure the Wastes. How do you feel about one less token but at instant speed?
Why would you not offer a permanent solution to destroying your opponent's game plan? I'd rather RiP mess up Lingering Souls flashback than give my opponent's an ounce of hope.
T1 Marsh Flats into Godless Shrine/Swamp - Inquisition
T2 Filter Land - Either Thoughtseize another vital piece or Bitterblossom/Raise the Alarm
T3 Land - Liliana of the Veil/Lingering Souls or Discard/Intangible Virtue swing 4 with Raise tokens.
T4 Land - Sorin/Gideon.
T5-10 Control their hand. Don't let their board grow too much. Take care of any Walkers.
Tokens are considered a fair deck. What this means is: By choice-discards and cards that give us more value later on (board and usage) we can dumb other decks down just enough to win.
If you aren't convinced in hand disruption, maybe you need to shuffle some things around in your deck. I don't know your list, but I love my hand disruption. Once a card is on the field, it's a LOT harder to get off the field. So spend the 1 mana and prevent it from happening.
We have the colors of some of the best Sideboard options available. I posted my current list above. Post board we are stronger against CoCo.
The problem is... How many times when you HAVE to activate it, it's the only thing that would get rid of the threat because you already wasted 1-3 PtE and your other removal spells. Instead of having to chump block you can trade a token for a bruiser. Or an Eldrazi. When we need it, we're glad to have it. Is it warranted to cut it for a 4th Ghost Quarter for one-to-three of our matches? Or another Godless Shrine because you just need moar black mana? to fuel the destruction of the world...?
Death touch: there will be a major update with at least two separate packages for tokens. A control build and an aggro build. Also a budget consideration discussion (someone volunteered to write something up). I am open to deck ideas and will likely borrow lists from historical and extant lists.
The reason why you need 26 or so lands in the Cho build is because you lose lands to Ghost Quarter. You would expect to lose at least one land per game.
Without GQ's I run my list at 23. So with 3 GQ's I'll be running my list at 24. I'm debating on trading either Vault of the Archangel or my last Windbrisk Heights for a third Godless Shrine. I'll be doing some playtesting though. My current list is:
Addition of Smallpox as a 2-of in a SB I think would work.
I've been thinking of replacing Spectral with 3 Midnight Haunting and 1 Secure the Wastes... Or a 2/2 split.
Also how much do you all activate Vault of the Archangel, if ever? Was thinking of taking it out.
In your meta is having ground units cumbersome? I'd think that Secure the Wastes tokens would just be chump blocked or chump blockers for us depending if we have any anthems online at the time.
I must be missing something because there have been pages of discussion about it. The biggest take away was 4 GQ and less than 4, maybe 0, Spectral and 26 lands is the way to go to fight other decks.
I agree that the biggest take away was the playset of GQ, but it was also the inclusion of the Flagstones of Trokair as a pseudo fetch and a defense against opposing land removal. I DON'T agree on 26 lands even if 4 are GQ's. 24 lands should be plenty fine since we are trying at max to hit 4 CMC. Possibly 5-6 lands on the field for multi-plays.
I'm glad that he ran 2 Surgical Extraction SB. I've been running it SB and it kills decks that need a certain card.

I enjoy Gideon and believe he is a very strong Walker for us. Depending on the setup of the deck though I'd prefer Sorin. But I run 3x Sorin, 2x Lili's and 1x Gideon. The Lili's help out a lot against almost any deck I face. How do you feel about using Lili in our setup?
I could see Midnight Haunting. I'd even argue for Oath of Gideon as an easy to cast, 2 dude at 3. The problem is Gideon doesn't bring in some fliers, and having flying is a very relevant thing.
Running 4 GQ also means I can reasonably recommend Warping Wail again.
I could see running 24 lands with 3 GQ and call it good for the most part. I LIKE Midnight Haunting. I'm going to have to test it though with Spectral Procession with the 4-5 colorless producing lands. Midnight Haunting isn't all that bad as it can dodge sweepers and flash in blockers. It'd be a good change to a deck that's used to putting crap on the field at sorcery speed in a BB Shell.
I think the ULTIMATE question is this: How IMPORTANT is that one extra guy 75% of the time? And the second most important question is if you have it in hand can you cast it 80-90% of the time with 3 of your lands on the field..
EDIT: I really LIKE the idea of Warping Wail as a 1-of in the SB if we can find room. Against some decks it'd be able to shut a lot of things down.

Discard- Inquisition/Thoughtseize/Liliana the first few turns gets rid of the hand they KEPT for a reason. I keep hands because there are cards I like in the hand.
Tokens- 2CMC Bitterblossom/Raise the Alarm; 3CMC Lingering Souls/Spectral Procession/Midnight Haunting; 1xCMC Secure the Wastes allows us to put 'more' on the field than our opponents PER card. Flooding it. Intangible Virtue/Gideon, Ally of Zendikar/Sorin, Solemn Visitor help add value to everything we put on field.
Removal- 1CMC Path to Exile is the BEST removal in Modern. Hands down.
