I have built a BG elf deck, but I need advice on making it better. I bought a number of cards I thought would be good, yet my deck ended up with a ton of creatures, and I still couldn't get them all into it. Also, it seems to be leaning heavily green. Any advice is appreciated.
I have been thinking of making a modern RG elemental tribal deck, but it seemed a bit boring, and I think I would rather make a RG deck that turns lands into creatures while still being elemental focused. I can't seem to find anything like that from Googling, so I was wondering if any of you have ideas? I would probably want to spend less than $50.
Also, I was thinking of making a W/B Theros constellation deck, and had these cards in mind, but not sure how many of each to have, or if there are more or less I should consider. My budget is no more than $20.
So I have an Azorius deck that uses Brago, King Eternal to re-trigger my detain cards. I was wondering however if when those creatures return from exile, they are unable to attack next turn since they would technically not have been under my control since the BEGINNING of my turn, or am I reading the rulings for summoning sickness wrong? Thanks.
Like the title says, I have the urge to make a Theros deck with lots of cards using Heroic, mainly hoplites and such, but I had heard somewhere that Heroic is only practical for Limited, and would perform poorly in Constructed. Is this true? I don't want to waste money making a deck that will do poorly. Thanks.
I just bought a whole bunch of cards, some that you just mentioned were among them. Definitely putting in more Lyev Skyknights. 3 CMC for a 3/1 flier with detain is sweet.
Lately I've been making around 8 standard 60-card decks and have been playing them against each other to try and refine them. However, one of them, a midrange Azorius deck, has been doing very poorly, winning only 2 out of 14 matches, especially against my aggro infect decks. I need help improving it. I would prefer to us only cards I already have, or ones that area cheap to purchase, so no spendy planeswalkers, and I don't want any of the older cards with the different card background/white text.
I wish I could post all the other cards I have right now that could be put into the deck, but I can't. Just assume I have a decent number of other common Azorius commons, and some Boros as well.
Sorry about taking so long to respond. I'd say my decks would be mid-range, and the game type just casual constructed. No creatures that can generate mana. I am lured to the keyrunes since they are flexible in that I can use them as creatures if necessary.
So I'm experimenting with having lands that cost mana to play, such as obelisks, keyrunes, etc. and was wondering how many I should have at max to avoid getting mana-screwed. Thanks.
So I'm playing a game right now against myself to test my decks (sad, I know) and am deciding whether to attack with a golem token that has several -1/-1 counters on it. If I attack with it, it will be blocked by a creature that will have to block in order to prevent damage from being dealt to the player. The blocking creature has Infect and will add enough -1/-1 counters to kill the golem, but I could tap a Metallurgeon to regenerate the golem. However, I am unsure on if the -1/-1 counters would still be placed on the golem, thus bringing him to 0 toughness and killing him, or if regenerate, which as I understand removes assigned damage, will take those counters off. I am confused as it is damage dealt as -1/-1 counters, not just normal damage.
