The End of an Era

I run 3 Eye and 2 Urborg as my legendary lands. Im not sure if this is right or not, but it seems decent. Its definitely right to not run 4 and 4 IF you're also running map. Also, if you're running map and looking for one of our 2 mana lands, its best to search eldrazi temple as drawing multiples won't be a dead card. Only search for an Eye if you have an urborg in play and that acceleration will allow you a very early sower.

Discard is always bad vs discard, and its the first thing you take out in grindy matchups as it is terrible as a top deck.

Except Mishra's workshop isn't legendary and doesn't require 2 pieces to actually tap for mana. Have you even played the deck? "Unfair" is the last word Id use to describe. In fact, "unfair" is exactly what rips this deck to shreds. It might feel insane vs something like Jund or Grixis or Twin. However, the deck has some serious flaws vs Tron/Scapeshift/Amulet. Not to mention Burn and Infect can pose many problems. Oh, we also lose to traditional control decks that can out grind us. UW, UWR, and the likes are just beatings.

Also, on the deceiver plan, I really don't think we play enough creatures to make it worth it. I also just don't think there are enough payoff cards to make it worth it. Like, If you have a Herder out and you land a 7 drop, haven't you pretty much won the game already? What does deceiver even do for us? Just doesn't seem good to me.

In my opinion, Endbringer is undoubtedly better than the 4th sower. However, I think a few options are better than the 4th sower. Ive found that landing a 6 drop doesn't actually win us the game in most cases. 5/8 body is great, but Im looking for a 1 or 2 of that can run away with the game a little bit better. End bringer MIGHT be that card, although Im really not a fan of not getting any value until you untap. All of our creatures get value the turn they are played. That worries me about this guy a little bit.

Uh, people really shouldn't be siding in artifact hate against us. Each of our artifacts cantrips.

7 mana for more value off of conduit. I think 4 sower is too much, but I also think conduit as the second Ulamog is also pretty lackluster at the moment. For instance, you have a 50% chance to draw Ulamog before you draw conduit. Then he does nothing and Id rather him be a sower or endless one. With another or even a couple more "tech" 7+ Eldrazi, he might be playable. Gives some top end consistency vs decks like tron. Im definitely going to try out kozilek. Seems great vs tron if we land it. But so is ulamog. Who knows.

Maybe you should calm down and do other things for your turn, map for bojuka bog every once in a while, mulligan better, or just be happy that you casted a 4/5 for 3 mana if you need a road block. Even at its worst, the deck is gas.

Ew, MTGGoldfish just retroactively named the deck "Bx Eldrazi Stompy"

Suck it, tron. With tight play, this deck is not nearly as much of a dog as I thought. You just need to aggressively mulligan in games 2 and 3 and realize its not a card advantage matchup but rather who can land the most devastation first.

Honestly, none of our lands aren't redundant enough to need tutoring, and we have no need to hit specific drops. Tron runs it because it provides land consistency. Something we frequently don't want to be spending 3 mana on. Their payoff is huge while ours is weak in comparison.

3 color is 4 color for this deck. We are <>Bx already. <>Bxx is too much in my experience. Way way way hard to hit your colorless drops AND be in time for your splash.

My one drive to running map is its ability to get us utility lands. Im running a vault, shambling vents, bojuka bog, and GC as utility lands. It certainly is nice to be able to tutor specifically if I need one. However, is it 3 mana nice? Eh. Not really. Tron plays map because it lands on their curve very well to add consistency. We don't really need to hit specific lands. As long as we have a temple or an eye online relatively early, we are in pretty damn good shape, imo. Is it nice to drop an Ulamog on T4? Sure. Am I designing my list around the ability to do that? No way in hell. We. Are. Not. Tron. Stop. Trying. To. Be. Tron.

As for dark petition, Why? What does it do for us? Do we really want a 5 mana tutor at sorcery speed when there are so many more powerful things we could be doing for tapping the same amount of lands?

As for languish, meh, Im a big fan of All is Dust in the sweeper spot and going with Zealous Persecution for Affinity. Im actually surprised you're having trouble with affinity. It hasn't felt like a tough matchup at all for me.

Someone above mentioned EE. Its good, but I like it best when I can tick it up to 3. Thats something our deck really won't be able to do.

^ Yes, eye has to search for a creature. Also, Im a little shocked you've had trouble with infect as it hasn't posed much of a threat to me. Stranglers are amazing against them, as are the paths and souls we mainboard. It even gets better post board with skites and zealous persecution which if you land on your turn is a HUGE board swing. I find infect to be one of our better quick matchups along with zoo. I ran 3 games today with my new version with endless ones. Punted really ******* hard vs BW tokens, but it happens. That matchup was very tough and very technical down to the wire. It doesn't help that I drew 0 sideboard hate. As for Endless One, I think he is best in our burn matchup. Sometimes you need to just put down a road block, and I can cast him on 3 when I would like to hold up strangler as removal. Super nice. Late game, he isn't much better than a Sower as 6/6 for 6 vs 5/8 for 6 isn't a huge difference in my book (Blocks the same things, presents the same clock typically). But when it gets grindy, sometimes you need to just drop a fatty, and he is much better than sower in those situations. I like him as a very modular card. All is dust is great, you all need to be playing it. Also, I have 0% missed maps.
