I've wanted to work on a Muraganda set for some time and would love to help you out with this. If you go with Schultzwald's idea of Monstrosity in red/black instead of green/white might I suggest a solidarity mechanic in the elf faction? Like an idea of them packing together to keep each other safe from dinosaurs and other dangers in their world.

EDIT: I recall reading that the elves of Muraganda believe that the Mimeoplasm's role in their ecosystem is basically to "put death back into life." Personally, I assume they mean like the thrill of being alive, knowing that they could die at any moment. Perhaps, give them an ability (as well as instants and sorceries related to them) that does something extra if your opponent controls a powerful creature. Maybe power 4 or more. So something like,

    Canopy Traveler
    2G
    Creature - Elf Scout
    Reach

Instinct - If your opponent controls a creature with power 4 or more Canopy Traveler can't be blocked by creatures without flying.

    2/3

I've recently had the idea of creating a set for a multiplayer draft, similar to Conspiracy, where the players play the hero or the villain. In my EDH group I see people playing these roles, those who do something beneficial for themselves as well as the group and those who only do things for themselves. There is no official setting as of yet and I am currently trying to create mechanics that will work well in a multiplayer setting that hasn't been done yet.

A mechanic that I simply have to include in this set is Heroic. Along with Heroic you have choices. Now, if you recall in Fate Reforged they had cards that gave you different choices when you cast them, each choice leaning toward Khans or Dragons. In Heroes & Villains your choices will be between Hero and Villain (clever right?) and these choices will correspond to either helping out the group as a whole (Hero) or having benefits only for yourself that may screw over everyone else (Villain). Along with these mechanics I have draft matters cards, these cards are called Acts. There are two types of Acts, an Act of Heroism or an Act of Villainy. During a draft an Act of Heroism, when drafted, might let everyone pick another card from their pack and an Act of Villainy might steal a card from someone else's pack.

I'm a little stuck on what other mechanics might be used in a set like this. Can anyone give me some constructive ideas and maybe share some feelings on what you look for in a multiplayer game?

I really like all the mechanics you've created, the name Scavenge II is kind of iffy, but the mechanic is cool. Might I suggest enchanting cards in the graveyard or threshold? Enchanting cards in the graveyard was first introduced in Future Sight, example: Spellweaver Volute.

Cant wait to see how this set turns out.

Wicked cool set. I would love to see some of the stories in this set. I really want to know more about Mindi and how crazy the world must be with the dreams of a child running about.

Also, love the passives the Planeswalkers have. Its interesting and epic.

I agree that I don't see it happening. I guess I should be more clear that I'm mainly wanting to get a feel for what people believe to be staples among the format and which Commanders they feel are fun or competitive to plat that I will then compile into a list. The idea of a "Commander Masters" is just what I'd like to call this. So, I hope I don't seem unhappy with Commander 11, 13, 14 and Arsenal because I'm not. The idea, if it did happen, would be more for easier access to the format much like Modern Masters has been. Not for draft.

I'm not talking about pre-constructed decks as good of starting points as they are. I'm talking packs. I'd love to crack a pack and have a chance to pull a Ghave, a Jareth or even a Sliver Queen. Its exciting. Plus, this is just for fun anyhow.

We've had Modern Masters, Vintage Masters and now Modern Masters 2! When will we get a Commander Masters set? Probably never, but hey I can hope and dream, right? Well, say we did get one. What would it consist of? What cards could be considered Commander staples? This set would be chock full of Legendary creatures to utilize. Which ones would those be? I want to take the best choices and add them into a set list later on. Adding your reasoning of why the cards you suggest should be added to the list would be appreciated as well. So please, leave your comments so I can put together this list.

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I am the Man of the Multiverse, otherwise known as Zane Ross. I've been playing Magic since Innistrad block, so I still consider myself a fairly new player, but not an inexperienced one. I had only played Standard for the first couple years of my Magic career playing Mono-black good stuff in Innistrad; Rakdos Aggro and Dimir Mill in RtR; Biovisionary Wins in Theros; Mardu Aggro, American Soulfire Blade and Five-colored Soulflayer in Khans of Tarkir. In the past year I've grown affectionate towards Commander and have built multiple decks from Thraximundar Zombies to Brago Pillowfort. However, out of all the decks I've built I've only stuck with and put the most money into The Mimeoplasm. The Mimeoplasm is my go to Commander and my favorite when it comes to Graveyard shenanigans. More recently, I've joined both the Modern and the Tiny Leaders scene, running Mono-white Soul Sisters and Sydri, Galvanic Genius (respectively). I hope to continue to expand into other formats (I'm looking at you Legacy) and expand my horizons in Modern. Also, past the game I enjoy the Magic lore. I create fan planes and characters and am always looking to put my knowledge of the Multiverse to the test. This is a little about me.
