"Let's go ride the stuffed mammoth through alligator swamp!"
Pity there was no room for a note to the artist about "Mood" or "Action" in the sketch version.
Also cool that it does not require the tapped creatures to have a certain power, you can use 0 drop artifact creatures to power some behemoth you Entombed first turn.
What I think happens (according to 706.2) is this - The Sculpting Steel becomes a Darksteel Ingot with the abilities
"Darksteel Ingot is indestructible.
: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. 1UR: *This* becomes a copy of target artifact and gains this ability."
We went with this for the remainder of the game, but wanted some clarification.
Odd note - There are only 13 instances of Time, but there are 16 instances of multikicker. Considering all Multikicker spells spoiled so far have the word 'time' in their text, I'm a bit confuzzled. I can't imagine they'd do something that doesn't involve 'each time it was kicked' if they're bothering to do multikicker on the card... solutions?
Yeah, the car sales model occurred to me... I suppose that might translate over to a TCG, but I'm not sure the technological stigma would be there. It seems they'd want core product to start thinning on shelves around October...
I'd totally snag a Tezzeret deck for 4 Howling Mines and other goodies.
EDIT: Assuming, of course, they're simply direct transfers. Not that I really gave the decklists more than a once over... <insert more disclaimers here>
Apologies for Necro'ing, but a friend brought this up and I figured I may as well ask the question in a topic with the same idea-
If the 5 copies of the Hagra Diabolist enter the battlefield simultaneously, wouldn't each trigger for each other (+5 triggers from the original),and then count the number you have out on resolution for 180 damage? I figured it'd work the same way Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle+Warp World trigger with mountains.
Hey, if they do do affinity again (assuming, again, that it's Mirrodin), they have a loooooooooot of unexplored design space in that. 'Enters the battlefield' effects for paying less than cost X? Affinity for Enchantments? Creatures? *shrug* Could be neat, but then... there's a lot of possibilities with everything.
There is no way people would vote for type line before abilities so I'm still calling shenanigans, see you on Wednesday artist credit(Rob Alexander or Aleksi Briclot)
There is a way- if all of the votes for the card text were *gasp* spread three ways. Even if we get artist credit followed by all three lines of text, the total is coming out as 21.7%. It was a rather brilliant trick on their part.
Frankly, I'm just happy that the art came first, 'cause it's fantastic.
Action: Weekend at _____'s.
Fixed.
Double Striker seems like a limited meanie, I look forward to getting a couple. >=D

^This makes sense, and then some of those would go to the reminder text. And the Multikicker reducer... *rubs chin*
@ the ones who said 'reminder text': 'Time' isn't part of the reminder text. 'Times' is.
They thought of that - http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/feature/27a

Are you suggesting that Sensei's Divining Top and, say, Skullclamp are bad in EDH?
I like this take on Fireball very very much. I'm curious to see what other things they'll do with Multikicker.
