just curious would it be ideal to stat in just a elf build to leverage heritage druid and dwynen's elite? I am just curious, I haven't posted but I have been following your progress with the deck
I just wanted to give my two cents after picking the deck back up. I went 2-1 with it and the game I lost too was a polymorph deck lol. The deck never really went off but I will say I enjoyed having one inventor's fair in the deck for the minor life gain and the search ability for an artifact.
This is my take on the list so far. I'm skipping out on Throne of the God-Pharaoh in favor of Smuggler's Copter and Intruder Alarm. For a finisher (if you need a finisher that's not infinite life and infinite tokens) I threw in Altar of the Brood and Craterhoof that can be tutored up with Chord.. 8 mana dorks, 8 sisters, 4 Chord, 4 Sprout Swarm. There's a lot of engine type stuff going on here, a lot of backup plans, and a lot of pressure put on the opponent without even needing to go off, simply because you can go so wide so fast.
I'm about to start playtesting this, but I'm really liking where it's at so far.
The interesting thing about modern is that sometimes, lifegain alone can put you out of reach of some decks. Simply having 8 wardens makes burn an 80% matchup. wardens and lifelink tokens makes aggressive, non-scaling decks like dredge or hollow one much easier to take into the much-favored long game. It's got grind, it's got combo, the one thing it doesn't have really is post-board wipe play. Terminus, Verdict, and Anger of the Gods are all real problems. Post sideboard there are some Gaddock Teegs to deal with verdict and terminus, but those can still be path'd obviously. And Sprout Swarm is an engine that can continue to go off after a board wipe, but it's a slow process.
I've also considered Beck//Call, Impact Tremors, and a more toolbox approach like Archangel of Thune + Spike Feeder, Imperious Perfect, and other combo-chordy type stuff.
Do you think you have enough spells to give you a way to tap Emmara?
Congrats to both BUUR and THEENZYM. I like BUUR's experimentation and love the BUG list with Assassin's Trophy. I'm working on a version of that right now.
But its great to see mill getting such good results. Hopefully Team Mill can translate that into some wins at some larger tournaments.
So which UB list did you like better?
+3 mission briefing + 2 opt
or
+2 Mission Briefing +3 Manic Scribe
I was building this deck and I feel like the scribe fits better with the surveil. I am just curious how you feel about the opt.
SO I played the list with 2 opts and I will say I missed not having manic scribe in the deck as a blocker and possible milling effect.

I am thinking I going to try this deck variant tomorrow night, I have messed with the land base and added a few different cards. I am still unsure about the sideboard but this will do for now.
I played this deck on the side at my FNM and Mausoleum secrets is a great card for searching up a living end but death shadows seem real awkward. Just thought I give you my update.
I just wanted to say I went 4-0 with this deck this past week and it ran so good but it could definitely use some tinkering to make it run better.
I player 8 rack (2-0), Jund (2-0), goblins (2-1) and tron(2-0). With the ability of flashing in flikerwisp to help control the board, the evasion of eerie interlude on board wipes, the amount of card draw plus looping eerie interlude with internal shaman is so sick. The kiki-jiki is a nice touch for another win con but I don't want this to be a kiki-jiki chord deck. I want it to be a fun blink deck that is FNM competitive but seeing how this deck ran through these deck it makes me think there is more potential to it. I am thinking G/W value town blink could be sitting in a good spot.
The main streangth of a Tokens deck imho is the ability to go wide and make spot removal meaningless and playing the Chord package and Advent undercuts that and weakens the deck as a whole.
Besides the mana dorks I'd avoid playing other creatures in the maindeck and focus on spells and PW's instead.
I appreciate your input and maybe the PW are better and I'd agree that advent wurm is weak but I want more of a convoke concept and using it as a tool box. I'd like to try to abuse the tapping ability of Emmara. Maybe GW isn't tokens isn't the best thing, maybe she be interesting in a 4 color Jeskai ascendancy deck for going wide.
I would play at max, two Gavony Township. Four seems way too many in my opinion. Perhaps a few Ghost Quarters would take that slot. This deck does seem pretty fun. March of the Multitudes is a hell of a card.
Also, since you dipped into B for Lingering souls, I would try a couple Assassin's Trophy. It's very powerful and can be more versatile than Path to Exile at times.
Edit: Also, maybe find a couple more Chord targets for the list? It would be a shame to only use it for one bomb. I like the Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, but I would also like to see maybe a Craterhoof Behemoth for a nice clean kill.
I like the crater behemeth card but I assassin trophy wouldn't be greatest due to not enough black sources.
Once I saw the new emmara, soul of the accord I thought a cool G/W token deck would be fun with a convoke deck. This is my first stab at this type of deck and I have never played it.
I'd love to see some gameplay or saffron olive play a deck like this

I'd like to try aether vial first, just because I like the ability to flash creatures in on my opponents turn.
Here is a kiki-jiki version I could try. I have all the cards for the deck if I wanted to go this route.
