Can you post your 75 and your sideboard plan please? I have a lot of difficulties beating Etron, so if you have a good winrate vs them i'm very interesting to see your list ^^
Have been on grim flayer since march, recently replace it with bob and go back on grim flayer after 2 months of dark conf.
In actuel meta (eldrazi, valakut, storm, DS, affinity) you need body and card selection more than card advantage most of the time.
That's also why recent lists plays tireless tracker, it provides body and a bit of card advantage we can need in some MU where bob shines
I don't want to play runed halo vs mirror : bgx has a lot of removal to answer it (pulse, decay) + discard
vs burn name shrine or eidolon
vs affinity i think it's better to name etched champion cause this is the only creature that is difficult to remove
I don't think Fateful Showdown works in the way you want it to sadly
Regarding Fateful Showdown:

In current meta, do you think it's better to have removal (pte, push) over fog (darkness, haze) in our sb?
I see a lot of recents list that play 0 fog and 2-3 removal
That's what i already side in. So i think i will add a disenchant in the sb

honestly if echoing truth's isnt doing the job, and he has multiple chalices, chances are its on 0-3, and if its on 2, disenchant/truth wont do you any good. why not play more echoing truths?, if he is turn 1 chalice on 0, you can still dig using cantrips, if he turn 2s chalice on 1, does it matter? unless you have more cantrips? why not play more copies of echoing truth rather than adding a disenchant? same cmc and echoing hits multiple copies. if not lol you can do a merchant scroll or peer through depths .
Disenchant (or wear//tear) has the upside of solve the problem, not delay that. Wear/tear is more versatile and can deal with two problematic permanent at the same time, i will test it

I've been seeing Godhead of Awe mentioned a couple of times in here and a couple of lists have had a small number of the card in the sideboard.
What matchups is it good for? Is it purely for deaths shadow?

We plays too much non-creature spells to play Thalia GoT... It make half of our deck cost 1 mana more
