No. A duration that ends before it begins does nothing. So, Banisher Priest enters the battlefield, then promptly dies because Elish Norn, Grand Cenobite is on the battlefield under your opponent's control. Then, you choose a target for Banisher Priest's ability. However, when that trigger resolves, he will no longer be on the battlefield and the ability will do nothing.

I heard that the pokemon Bank is coming out in December. It should let you put guys from Gen 5 into it, and then Gen 6 can pull from it. I don't know about earlier generations, you may have to trade them up the chain to Gen 5.

I just started and am not super competitive, but feel free to add me. My friend code: 0791-2381-1900

Yeah, I'll join in and say avoid the Agarest series at all costs. It's terrible and boring gameplay is only outshone by the creepy, porn-like mini games.

Has anyone else played Gunpoint? It recently on sale during the Steam summer sale and I picked it up. It is a great action puzzle game. The best part is that it has a level editor, so people can make and share levels.

So, I have bought many things (I like indie stuff for super cheap) during this sale.

I have been reluctant but interested in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. Should I get it? I really don't play online games without friends, especially ones like this. So, I am worried it will go unplayed. On the other hand, it looks damn cool.

I wish Wizards would reprint Tectonic Edge already. That card was only insane because of Sun Titan and midrange/control decks everywhere with shaky manabases and manlands.

Hey, I just started playing this game. Open free to play beta is a great thing.

What are some general tips on playing and builds. There's not much out there and it's hard to parse out anything of the official forum.

I made a Shadow to start, but it seems like anyone can do anything (at least at low level) so I don't see much uniqueness right now.

    Quote from Galspanic
The community was informed that the changes were happening a couple of times since November. The new site that you were told about was ready to go into testing and you were told within hours of its launch. Why would we need to tell you that a Beta was about to launch? That doesn't matter does it?

I already said what was the issue was: not being told about making Curse accounts using private-feeling information. Sure, you may have known about it, since you're part of the mod staff. But the average user was not told. And, if we were told, it was not open and obvious. This isn't some small act, and it shouldn't be sold as one. When it was rumored and then truth that Curse was going to purchase MTGSal, many were worried that they would be forced to go to a Curse-hub message board and many were afraid they would have to get a Curse login. So, it should be obvious to the staff (and Curse, I hope) that when the site is being eaten by the mothership and that logins would be created from the MTGSal data, some people would have liked notice.

This is about trust and communication. I have no doubt that you and the mods and admins knew that Curse would be doing this, but obviously many did not.

And, as for how to inform us about this large shift, yes, I think spamming is appropriate. I went so far as to suggest that there be popups, the most dreaded of website tactics. This is not a small matter. This was clearly important to many and everyone should have been notified in the most obvious and annoying ways.

but I'd like you to see it from where we're sitting.

We (the staff) have been told that we need to move to a new site, and that Curse is handling it.

I understand what you're saying, but you're also admitting you had foreknowledge of this large change. What would have been appropriate was informing the masses like I suggested in my first post; a system-wide message and email and pop ups all warning of this large change. I'm with Kait here, just because you think it's ok doesn't mean it is. We aren't children here, we deserve to know things before they happen. Especially when it comes to our private-like information being used and a large new company that many were worried about when they purchased the site.

Honestly, this is much ado about nothing. If having to be registered with the company that bought this internet forum months ago in order to access the site post-beta is the biggest of your worries, I truly envy your life.

For me, this ranks far below even the ingrown hair on my thigh that makes it awkward to walk in terms of life issues. The site is moving to improve our experience and the move involves hopping onto a Curse framework which requires Curse IDs. I really don't see the big deal.

And this is the other part of this problem. Staff (or ex staff) entirely blowing off this issue. This is not about how horrible this act was, because I agree, in the grand scheme of things, it's not horrible. However, it is the principle that is the issue. When Curse bought MTGSal, many were afraid this would happen. So, it stands to reason, then, that the community might dislike having their information used to create Curse accounts without any foreknowledge.

This leads to the third part that has been an ongoing problem, communication. I agree, the beta itself is ripe with communication. But, once again, this Curse account creation was backdoor and secretive. We have a distrusting community. Curse isn't winning any points from me.

I think the issue here is that: just because Curse owns MTGSal, and just because Curse has access to all our account information, and just because Curse can transfer that information to there mothership site and create a new account and login for everyone, does not mean that they should. When Curse bought MTGSal, many were worried about this exact thing. Many worried that Curse would gobble the site up and make everyone go to their mothershp site and get a Curse login. And, the first major change that Curse has does is exactly that. And, it was done without warning to users and it feels seedy and violative.

As we all know, this site has trust issues. And, it's hard to trust a new, heartless organization (Curse) when it seems more than happy to act first and tell users later. Especially when it comes to private-feeling things (regardless if they're actually private or not).

In my opinion, there should have been obvious warnings (like pop-ups) for as long as this was planned stating that by keeping your MTGSal account, you agree to be ported into Curse's mothership and a Curse login will be created from your login info from MTGSal. Then, the each user could have made the conscious choice to be part of Curse's company-wide login system. Otherwise you have this.

I wouldn't. With modern medicine, it's not necessary. And without the cleanliness angle, it just feels like torture.

I have played this game a few times after buying it. It's quite good. I agree that it is hard to learn. And, with different corps/hackers, it can feel very different.

I am having some trouble with the corp. It seems you have to guard the hand and deck (HQ and R&D) before you do anything, but money is always an issue. Maybe I just have been burned by lucky Agenda hits.
