Quote from Manite »I could see a future Unset experimenting with "write on" cards that let you write whatever you want on the card, within certain parameters. For example, letting you write any total power/toughness combination equal to 5 (0/5, 1/4, 2/3, 3/2, 4/1, 5/0) in the p/t box, writing any creature type in the subtype spot (even making up a new creature type if you like), or even naming creature cards/tokens (so you could name a Dragon "Charlie" for example). Rules text would be a little trickier, but maybe there could be spaces where you can write words or numbers. They could introduce "N Mana" costs, where you write a number in the mana symbol which then determines the value of N effects on the card, kinda like X but with the ability to set a fixed converted mana cost. For example, a red sorcery that costs NR and deals N damage to any target. You could write 4 on the N symbol, which will then cause the spell to cost 4R and deal 4 damage to any target.
