    Guys, regarding posting censored images—don't bother posting it at all. Still going to be snipped.

    A cool idea, but I may need to use new frames. There's probably a good reason why we don't have these symbols already.

    I had always thought FS had been the perfect time for that kinda thing, but i guess not.

    Too easy? Remember, a good symbol is something generic enough that it can apply to all planes. That's the big trick with MTG; you're playing to an infinite number of planes. That's why card frames are tricky, you need something that works both on Ravnica, and on Kamigawa.

    Evergreen

    This month's task is as follows;

    Some CCG's or TCG's use symbols to represent common abilities. So your task this month is to take any 3 evergreen abilites and create symbols for them. Variants of symbols [like for protection or something] are not included in the 3-of limit.

    *Evergreen abilities are ones like Trample, Haste, Protection; they've been around for awhile and are not set-based mechanics.

    Smilies!

    I've talked to the guys upstairs and they've agreed to let me run this month's contest idea.

    This month, each user can submit up to 3 magic-orientated smilies. The voting system shall break down each username into [up to] 3 choices. The top 3 winners will have their icon added to the repository.

    Now, rules about the icon/smilies:

    - Can't be larger than 30px by 30px.
    - Animation [gif format] to a minimum. Nothing larger than 80kb.
    - Submit a Smiley Code for each icon too. Keep it short and to the point.

    Can we show the different arts separated by a line, or must we show them in a single mural ?

    The idea was a single mural, like the shadowmoor lands.

    *EDIT* I'm going to let this run till the end of the week.

    So how does one make a foil card?

    I have been placing a transparent sheet with a printed image in front of it so that the foil will show through (Foil card was cleaned with Acetone).

    Is there an specific way to print directly on the card instead?

    Only laser printers will work for that i think, since the heat prevelant in the printing process helps adhere the ink to the surface. Inkjet ink doesn't adhere to the plastic very well. I mean, at the risk of ruining your inkjet printer, you could spray an adhesive onto the foil, then run it through. Then afterwards, spray a sealant and hope the stickiness gets covered.

    All theory, but that's what i'm betting on.

    Does it have to be only two, or can we use the whole cycle?

    Good point, edited the OP to make 2 the minimum.

    Can you use the shards? (i.e jund?) Sorry, just need a little clarification.

    The shards themselves are not a cycle, but something like the charms are.

    Back in May, the Photoshop contest was to create a new Photoshop Contest Banner, since Fogatog's version is no longer hosted. Yet the contest ended in a tie, thus i'm still at end on which one to use! Both winners have been awarded a trophy, but only one banner can claim the glory!

    Choose!

    Cycles

    This month's task is as follows;

    — Choose a cycle of cards in magic [cards that are variations of a similarly styled effect/templating.] Choose [minimum] two of those cards and re-create their arts as a single mural.

    For example, take the Magemark Cycle; i could choose the black and blue cards and draw a mural that has distinct sections for both cards respectively.

    *Freebie: Purge and Terror.

    *this DOES include land cycles. [painlands, shocklands, etc]

    Sup' it Up!
    Alright, i'm really really sorry for my late arrival. Had some net troubles, work/school and other duties pulling me away. So this month is going to be all about pride about one's nation! But in a slightly different way for the Ps contest. Your task this month is to customize the card frame of a card to fit the card's overal flavor as best as possible. Whether this is photo-manipulation or flat out frame creation is up to you! The important part is that frame feels like it's one with the art/card. Asia inspired Kamigawa frame? Sure! Etherium inspired Esper frame? Sounds great! *warning: you must use the art of whichever card you chose, and the artist credit must be present somewhere on the card frame. Have fun! Entries!
