So with lots of tron, I'm thinking of dropping 1x skred, 1 mind stone and 2x angers for 4x stone rains main. I run 4x molten rain in side but still 2 tron matches kill me. I'd slot 2 angers I side but ATM I feel with my meta LD package is a must from me to thrive. I've been playing Ponza a lot but I'd love to get on some Skred

So grixis city at my lgs with a surge of pissed off standard players converting to modern. When blue is big, zoo has fun. 4-0 with 2x Rhoas and the top curve duel deck 5 drop Gideon. Which activated rhonas quite a few times. Everyone is all on tribal Gideon's and I think this is a pretty cool Gideon

    @Steven,

    My decklist

Also included my deck as I am quite proud of it. Hope to arrange the Onslaught fetches before Copenhagen as I prefer the old lay-out. Will pass the foil 7th Edition Birds of Paradise, JR Lightning Bolt and Future Sight Tarmogoyf for now though Smile

P.S. do you happen to be Steven Borakove who consistently top 8's at the SCG INVQ's? Would be great if we could exchange some ideas on the deck as a preparation for Copenhagen.

Sorry not me, while I do constantly do great with zoo, I can't take his credit lol

Went 7-3 on the 674 man MKM-series in Frankfurt (see link at the end) finishing 84th on breakers. Played Naya Company. Overall the deck performed well and I think I could have made a better performance if I didn't make some mistakes. I do like the walkers in the sideboard, but am not sure as I should not go back to 3 Blood Moon. Against Eldrazi Tron we really need both Stony Silence and Blood Moon (in that sequence). And played it 4 times in a 10 round tournament. And I was lucky this time, but might not be a 2nd time.

If you girls and guys have any input on my plays or sideboard let me know! One month to go to GP Copenhagen and all help is welcome.

    Round 1 - Eldrazi tron (1-2; 0-1)
The reason I switched to Merfolk 1,5 years ago was GR Tron. Eldrazi Tron is not much better..
G1 on the play with a mull to 5. An early Wild Nacatl damage and a big Knight of the Reliquary seal the deal.
In: 3 Stony Silence, 2 Blood Moon, 1 Arlinn Kord (to make sure my creatures are bigger. Later that day I changed it to 1 Blessed Alliance on the draw and 1 Arlinn Kord on the play)
Out: 4 Lightning Bolt, 2 Scavenging Ooze
G2 my T2 he chump blocks with a Matter Reshaper into Eldrazi Temple and then it snowballs quickly out of control
G3 with another mull to 5 he is too fast.

    Round 2 Abzan Midrange (2-1; 1-1)
Unfortunately had to play a team member.
G1 his removal and his lingering souls seal the deal. Having a Collected Company of 0 didn't help either. Smile
In: 2 Blood Moon, 1 Bonfire of the Damned, 1 Arlinn Kord, 1 Domri Rade
Out: 2 Qasali Pridemage, 1 Birds of Paradise, 2 Noble Hierarch
    G2 he keeps a greedy one-lander and I win
G3 we both mull to 6 and this time my Collected Company works

    Round 3 GW Hatebears (2-0;2-1)
Both G1 and G2 he kept 1 landers with vial and cannot manage to play multiple spells a turn. Nice interaction was a hardcasted Bonfire for x=2 and swing for lethal. Chatted with him after the match. In this MU i believe Hatebears has the control role and then keeping a hand with 1 Ghost Quarter, 3 vials a path and Blessed Alliance seems not good. He needed to draw either creatures or his GQ should have been white to at least get path online.
In: 1 Bonfire, 1 Arlinn Kord, 1 Domri Rade (without vials I would have opted for Blood Moon)
Out: 2 Scavenging Ooze, 1 Birds of Paradise
    Round 4 UB Faeries (2-0; 3-1)
G1 I was on the draw with a mull to 6. I am out of the gates too fast. Also my opponent made a bad mistake by choosing Loxodon Smiter with Thoughtseize as he only read the "cannot be countered clause" and had a Spellstutter Sprite for my Knight of the Reliquary.
In: 1 Domri Rade, 1 Arlinn Kord, 1 Bonfire of the Damned, 1 EE
Out: 4 Path to Exile, 2 Scavenging Ooze
G2: I was again too fast but he had Damnation. But I quickly rebuild with a Knight of the Reliquary followed up by a Arlinn Kord. Give Knight +2/+2 and vigilance, before damage after blocks, activate Knight and give him trample.

    Round 5: Eldrazi Tron (1-2; 3-2)
Game 1 on the draw with a mull to 6. There is a pattern as I win again.
G2, I have a Stony Silence, but he keeps the board full with matter reshapers and Thought Knot Seers and we start the stare down. The stare down breaks with an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
G3, is similar as game 2 only this time he had an Endbringer with Basilisk Collar.

    Round 6: Abzan Midrange (0-2)
G1 on the draw with a mull to 6. He started with Inquisition of Kozilek for my 2 drop, then a Tarmogoyf, then a Thoughtseize for my 3 drop and later on another Inquisition of Kozilek.
G2 another mull to 6. Here I made the mistake to attack just before dying. I was on 2 with a Lightning Bolt in hand, a Loxodon Smiter, a Domri Rade on 7 and a new Tarmogoyf in play. He had a Shambling Vent, 2 Lingering souls in play and no cards in hand. The mistake I made was to attack him to 5 with the Smiter. He topdecks a Fatal Push for my Goyf and wins. By attacking I exposed myself to loosing to a top deck removal spell. While otherwise I could have ultimated Domri rade and started attacking with my 4/4 Hexproof, double strike, trample Smiter and then at least we would have gotten a game 3.

    Round 7 Revolt Zoo (2-1; 4-3)
G1 my threaths are bigger than his and I have bolts for early threats
In: 1 Arlinn Kord, 1 Domri Rade, 1 Bonfire of the Damned, 1 Engineered Explosives
Out: 2 Qasali Pridemage, 1 Tireless tracker, 1 Birds of Paradise
G2: I have a good hand with T1 noble in T2 Nacatl and Tarmogoyf. However he hits me from 16 to 6 in T2 and to 0 the turn after Smile
G3: as I am too fast out of the gates and he is slower he needs to "combo" but cannot attack as he would loose the majority of his team. I find Kessig Wolfrun and win.

    Round 8 Grixis Death Shadow (2-1; 5-3)
G1 on the draw with 7. He goes Inquisition of Kozilek into Thoughtseize into Snapcaster Inquisition. Well played Smile
In: 2 Blessed Alliance, 1 Arlinn Kord, 1 Domri Rade, 2 Blood Moon, 2 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
Out: 4 Nobles, 1 Birds of Paradise, 2 Qasali Pridemage, 1 Tireless Tracker
G2 I am too fast and he cannot one for 1 me enough
G3 at one moment he drops two Death shadows for 1. I play a blessed alliance to give him 4 life. He kind of tilted because of that play as a few turns later he taps his swamp and Watery grave to play a snapcaster mage in response to me Ghost Quarter his only basic swamp. He wants to cast Fatal Push, but then realizes he only has Steam Vents left and the Island he searched for the Ghost Quarter.

    Round 9 Eldrazi Tron (2-1; 6-3)
My nemesis again. G1 is like the other matches and I win.
G2 i can only T2 a Stony Silence so he can still activate his Expedition Map. I manage to get him to 8 but he has All is Dust. I don't have the Collected Company he is afraid of and he wins.
G3 I start an opener with Blood moon. T1 Noble, his T1 is an Expedition Map, T2 I draw the Silence which I play first together with a Wild Nacatl. Followed up with a Blood Moon I can slow him down enough. Still I give him enough time to get to 6 lands but luckily he cannot find the 7th as he had another All is Dust. And I also had a Voice of Resurgence while he was on 1 Smile

    Round 10 Eldrazi Tron (2-0;7-3)
    Again?
G1 is like the other games 1 and we go to G2
G2 I am very lucky with him not having a T1 expedition map and me having a T1 Nacatl, T2 Stony Silence into T3 Blood Moon. Although he gets to 5 and 6 mana eventually, he cannot cast any of his spells as he doesn't have colorless mana.

Well, not too similar to that but I have been trying a Tooth variant. I run 3 Tooths, Xenagos and Emmy and that's my only deviation from what most people would think of as "stock." It's been okay, but not amazing. Tooth can be pretty clunky and I'm thinking of going to two.

2 tooths is what ive ran past 2x modern tournies. my meta is grind fest and burn atm, so the inevitable TN is great. in this version i also run 3x stone rains

    4 Arbor Elf
    2 Birds of Paradise
    3 Stormbreath Dragon
    2 Inferno Titan
    1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
    1 Xenagos, God of Revels
    4 Blood Moon
    4 Mwonvuli Acid-Moss
    4 Utopia Sprawl
    4 Wooded Foothills
    3 Windswept Heath
    3 Stomping Ground
    10 Forest
    1 Mountain
    1 Primal Command
    2 Tooth and Nail
    2 Eternal Witness
    3 Stone Rain

    1 Nissa, Vital Force
    1 Garruk, Primal Hunter
    1 Bonfire of the Damned
    4 Kitchen Finks

    SB
    3 Anger of the Gods
    1 Thrun, the Last Troll
    2 Ancient Grudge
    2 Beast Within
    1 Dismember
    2 Obstinate Baloth
    2 Lightning Bolt
    1 Wurmcoil Engine
    1 Fog

I am now playing 2 exclusive lists of this deck. One dragon heavy and the other more traditional. The dragon version is slightly better against shadow decks but that deck is just hard to deal with

What's this dragon heavy list look like, if you don't mind.

    2-0 Storm
    2-0 UW Spirits
    2-0 Revolt Zoo
    2-0 Allies
1-2 Colorless Eldrazi (tbf he topdecked wastes the turn after getting blood moon'd each game)

IDK. Deck is fine. I loved Rabblemaster since it gets value through removal and kill super super quickly if left alone.

    No one plays around Ghor-Clan.

It's pretty easy to beat tier 3 decks.

    Cool deck
