How about the Avatars from prophecy? woe, might, hope, fury and will. With some new art too. Maybe give will an ability since it is the weakest of the avatars. I'm kinda susprised it didn't get anything.

agreed. the obliterator is a more advanced form of the negator. you have to remember that davvol pretty much engineered negators to adapt and change with each new defeated rendition. the obliterator is the newest, most advanced, rendition.
i'm still longing for a neverwinter nights esque rpg set in the magic universe, using spells and creatures and worlds found within the game, but not forcing any of aspects of the card game into its gameplay, as in no deck building, no card collecting. just the spells and things being related to the cards and nothing else.
everything in my binders is for trade, but just because i won't trade my tropical island for your pile of standard junk doesn't mean its not for trade. it means its not for trade for that pile of junk. the right trade offer comes along and that thing is gone. until then, its no thanks, i really don't want to trade it. its a polite way of telling you that you havne't offered anything enticing.

edit: when 5th edition had just been released, there was a guy that came into the shop and offered me $5, a pack of fifth, and a condom. it was a fair value trade (at the time) but i declined, he kept insisting. over and over and got more and more angry when i didn't accept to the point where the owner had to ask him to leave. i rarely take my binder anywhere these days, because attitudes haven't really changed since then. theres always that one guy that wants everything you have but won't offer anything worth trading for and gets mad when you won't give him what he wants.
The summer multiplayer product could be anything from another round of Commander precons with legends from the past brought up to the modern power level to Vanguard 2.0 (same concept as the old Vanguard cards, new implementation) to a new Un- set.

In a constructed event, you pay money just to enter the tournament even through you are bringing your own deck to play with in the event. It's the same thing.
If you don't like paying to enter tournaments, Magic isn't for you.

in a draft event you're paying for your 3 boosters, plus prize support, and space, and thats why its generally a few bucks more than the cost of the 3 boosters. if you're going to redraft the rares. the cost should only be for the space and prize support (if any)

if they want to use those sleeves and mats, and they're not illegal to use simply socially frowned upon, who are you to get all uppity over that? something like a lolli, or a scantily clad woman/man on your playmat isn't legally defined as pornography, so whatever your personal views on the matter are... well too bad. you keep getting your answer and ignoring it, so why are you still asking your question? repeating it over and over won't make you right, justified, or change anyone else's mind to match your own if they don't already.
as for what came up in the beginning as to why wotc does nothing about it... they aren't required to. no laws are broken and they are not the police anyway. if you really have a problem with the sleeves/playmat that someone is using, be an adult and ask them if they have a different one they could use for the match because you find them offensive if they don't... you either quit the match or stick it out and talk to the TO about it later. i see the 'i'd punch them in the face' statements came up again. good job community way to be a shining example of how fabulous the magic community is at accepting different ideas in a calm and rational manner yet again, a++ all around to those guys.
