Yeah, but we could've gotten it anyway if it just remained a rare and they had put a true mythic, or pumped up one that did deserve to be so.
like what? what could you shove in the knights portion of the deck thats mythic or deserves to be mythic other than kotr?
something like baneslayer would make games so one sided its not even funny. you know, i'm not a fan of the deck list. but i'm so tired of looking at this thread and seeing everyone say they could design a better list. stop saying it and do it. post it. back your statements up, what would you all have done differently that would've still made both decks fun, and encouraged you all to buy them?
what if those phyrexian mana symbols are actually meant to represent poison counters? as in you can pay for this with by gaining/removing a poison counter. has that been suggested yet? i was too lazy to read...
i've been running them for awhile and i've been rather torn on them. i think though ultimately i'm going to drop them. i've never once needed to cycle them meaning they're just slow and pointless. i can see where they'd be handy late game though... but in practice they've done nothing for me.
i think i'm a little lost here whats the point in hivestone when all of your creatures are already slivers or count as slivers except for the bazaar trader?

on a more serious note, as long as not every card depicts some half naked busty chick then i don't care, though when i hear a group of players talking about whose hotter, or who they'd do, or check out the boobs on this one, well that makes me pack up my cards and go home in shame that i have to be associated with these people.
I've been demoing this product this week-end, so I have probably fifty games under my belt.
I'm still wanting more. The decks are excellently balanced with each other (barring severe mana screw the strongest player - me, obviously! - would win) and very fun to play.
It's very similar to playing a sealed deck where both players lucked out and possess very competent deck building skills. I haven't tried previous Duel Decks, so I can't judge is this is more or less fun - but in itself, this Duel Deck is fun.

I kinda left my own Savra deck alone for a while as I had been buying loads of cards for it, and then not enjoying the games as I became peoples target so easily once Savra was out. I also mostly play against people who have direct damage, so once savra was out it would be really hard to keep her out long enough to accomplish much.
I Just came back to playing Savra now and I'm trying a diferent aproach where I don't rely on Savra as much and I have recursion onto the battlefield and just try to get beefy cards onto the battlefield using Deathrender or Defense of the Heart. So far this has been a bit more fun, but we'll see how things go.
i don't find defense of the heart fun in savra at all. i tried it for a long time and because of savra's ability, and how synergistic everything else is in trying to abuse that with or without her, my opponents never had more than 2 creatures in play so defense of the heart would just sit 9 times out of 10. i cut it after we had a 5 way game and it sat there on turn 5 all the way until the end. doing nothing.

they're 25 at mine too, theres about 5 left. i still can't justify buying any. some of the cards are great, but the whole foiling thing... meh.

we've all got stories like that. walmart doesn't somehow repack their factory sealed packs to contain mythics to get people to buy them there more.

because you an't use it to discard cards with madness that aren't white or anything...
its bad, but lets not be so overly critical that we're blind.
