this guy doesn't really feel mythic to me
but white weenie could be pretty crazy given that most of your dudes are cheap and you'll have extra mana to dump into him
Wrong, legally you can't be removed from a public place like a store unless you are breaking the law, as long as the store is open. All the store owner can do is deny him service.
OP, you need to threaten to call the cops on him the next time something like that happens. He committed theft by taking your proxies and putting them behind the counter, and also committed property damage by throwing your cards like that. If the pile of cards he threw was worth more then 500$, he committed a felony, and could go to jail.
Make sure you spread the word about the store owner to everyone who plays MTG that you are friends with.
except its a privately owned store. so yes, he does.
I would say that there is a bigger chance of them being a master of the Militia. And even though large scale warfare is more unknown, it could be more he is a person who loves war, he loves the honor it brings, and travels the world learning different techniques, that is how he is "leveling up."
this is the more reasonable explanation. especially with war against the risen eldrazi being depicted so heavily throughout the set.
i've got this giant 3 inch binder thats divided up by standard and everything else, everything else is the stuff thats worth more than 2 dollars only. i also only do the 1 card per slot (double sided) thing, and everything is broken up by color, but not by set.
then theres two other binders i never take anywhere that are stuffed with the crappy rares.
theres a guy in my playgroup that thinks he's a real rules lawyer and knows everything. one day i over heard him saying his inkwell leviathan, and calcite snapper wouldn't die after someone resolved a wrath of god, because they had shroud.
same guy is also notorious for playing silence in response to me playing a spell and claiming that my spell gets countered because it can't be cast.
So far my main problem with EDH is with the majority of decks being 100+ card decks instead of 60+ like in Casual Standard that makes for inconsistency and not being able to draw into or search for the cards you need at a given time sooner.
In EDH you have a hell of a lot less chance to hit what you need when you're in trouble. When you're down to low life and you're staring at a bunch of big guys after Hypergenesis you still have a 1 in 4 chance to hit a Balance/Wrath of God/last combo piece/tutor for one of those. EDH doesn't really work that way.
I'm one of those player's that values deck consistency over inconsistency, much like some Magic players out there who still value the fun of Casual Standard without jumping into the EDH bandwagon like everyone's been doing for the last year or two recently.
you'd be surprised how consistent a well tuned edh deck can be...
stasis cell won't lock up early game creatures in order to let you stall to get out your sphinxes... which is kind of important. sleeping potion is just plain poop and easy for anyone to deal with.
panoramas won't help you get the sphinxes out faster
i don't find him that interesting as a mythic, he feels more like a rare
and as has been said, removal in standard is pretty good right now (an understatement) so i don't think he'll see much, if any, play.
where do you get your numbers from dude?
have you even priced out a god damned deck?
want to play standard? pay $2500 every year as you have to buy from multiple rotating sets. see i can do it too.
you also make blanket statements under the assumption that:
a) the deck has to be tier 1, pro-tour quality, for everything
b) there are zero alternatives
c) you have zero of the cards
d) they all have to be purchased at once
seriously man, you sound like someone that knows absolutely nothing about legacy
the goblin could be fun

care to explain how its too elaborate to be a joke?

yes. it is one of the themes after all.
i'd rather a reasonable amount to choose from than not enough.
oh, and it solves nothing.
