Just wondering if leyline is really a necessary 3-4 sb slot? I get the matchup value vs burn and discard, but is there a better option that may be more versitile vs GBx and burn?

So, ive been playing against a lot of infect lately and was wondering if it would be worth it to put a golgari charm in the SB. Im thinking of putting in a breeding pool or I can use a pentad or gemstone to cast.
Also, Im not sure where we are in terms of the conversation about gemstone caverns, but what do you guys think of tendo ice bridge?

I meant preference as to the immediacy of what you needed and what you intended to do with them, i.e if you needed lili for a deck you wanted to play soon, and weren't as concerned with what the price may be 3-5 years down the road for expos and deltas. If collecting, or looking to flip at some point in time, then definitely pile A.

This one comes down to preference i think. Pile a has the most room to grow though. Pile b should stay fairly consistent.

    Look here

About halfway down is where I will be quoting from Meecht:

Graft (Plaxcaster Frogling for reference) and Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit are triggered abilities, so it'll die as a SBA before it gets the counter.

Effects that allow it to enter with counters would work, such as Master Biomancer.

edit: or see above or below Smile

Id take the expo. Snaps have been floating around the same mark for a while now. And as stated before expos will go up. RTR block non foil shocks are kinda "eh, just to add value" due to the prevalence of them. You can also find snaps for around 50-55

Foil Dragonlord Atarka, or $20 in trade credit at my LGS.

Basically, I am wondering if foil cards with EDH potential are a hold or sell in general. I have no immediate need for cards or cash, and am willing to stick it in my binder for years.

I would hold, as dragons are always collectible

    A: Smoldering Marsh, Expeditions

    vs.

    B: Dark Confidant, Ravnica

Pile B is way more playable than Pile A. It'll also drop if WOTC decides to put Bob in MM3. If you're building Jund, feel free to take Bob and don't look back - the fact that you have a good card in your deck is great. What's the dollar value of drawing an extra card every turn? If you're looking at strictly long-term value, take the Expedition, but be willing to sit on it for a couple years.

Do you think the battle lands will hold or exceed their current value though post rotation? I don't see any decks in modern really wanting them, and the only reason I would see to hold the battle expos would be to complete the set more than anything else.

What about merfolk? Can use Spreading Seas and Sea's Claim, Along with Painter's Servant? doesn't affect the gameplan too much

Just based on storyline in my mind, I would say that most to least likely is as follows:
    1) Tamiyo
    2) Garruk
    3) Jace
    4) Liliana
    5) Sorin
    6) Tibalt
    7) Nahiri

best scenario possible for t1&2 with nacatl
    t1 nacatl
    t2 swiftspear+bolt
total damage at the end of turn 2: 8

best scenario possible for t1&2 with mage
    t1 bolt/goblin
    t2 mage
total damage at the end of turn 2: 4/5

    Wouldnt for both be:
    T1 bolt
    T2 bolt bolt
    Total by t2 9 dmg?

Blue also can gain things like spell snare, spell pierce, and a lot of 1 mana spells that can fuel prowess guys and possibly protect them. The thing that i liked was playing against a t2 chalice of the void and being able to prowess kill them.

Remember that this is a burn deck. If you want to run spells and prowess guys, then you are really not playing burn. I understand that you are trying something really new regarding blue, but keep in mind burn decks focuses more on damage dealing along with a faster clock.

You could, however create a UR Modern Prowess deck, running some bolts and counters instead.

I guess my thinking got away from me there. I was primarily thinking in terms of the harder matchups that burn faces in terms of slowing them down just enough to get that extra spell or two in

Ok so taking the logic of anyting can hurt an opponent, why not run basically boros burn splash U for stormchaser? Any top deck, minus land and possibly rift bolt, would do immediate damage.
