Good Job in creating an Odric, Master Tactician Deck! I have also brewed a similar SOLDIER themed deck! However, with the release of Odric, Lunarch Marshal, things will be different.
Commune with Lava is also a great card, especially in EDH, as you can cast it before the end of your opponent's turn and you may cast all those exiled cards until your next turn! Best used with Prophet of Kruphix though.
Hi there!
I'm playing Prime Speaker Zegana at my local game store. Your deck is good. Just some suggestions for your deck:
1. Please do take note that Sol Ring is banned in Duel Commander.
2. You may want to replace Diluvian Primordial, probably a creature with a lesser casting cost, like Phantasmal Image.
3. Your main weakness will be against Griselbrand and the resto of the combo decks out there. Value the six counterspells you have. In my deck, I play 10 counterspells just to be sure of these types of decks! Haha! Like: Stubborn Denial and Familiar's Ruse to bounce and repeat an "enters the battlefield" effect.
I am also a bit new in posting comments and threads, but I've been wandering about in this forum for quite some time now. I've been playing 1v1 for more than enough time and I enjoy budget funky decks as well. Hope my suggestions help!

Some suggestions (if and only if you proceed with using the new Odric)
1. I added Angelic Overseer, as she is your only source of hexproof. Plus, with Odric, she gives your creatures indestructible, hexproof and flying all at the same time!
2. Some creature cards in your deck cost a little bit high, such as Oathsworn Giant, Victory's Hearld, Rhox Pikemaster and Angelic Skirmisher, all of which are repetitive engines of your general. You may want to include Fencing Ace, Preeminent Captain, Consul's Lieutenant and even Aven Sunstriker!
3. Harsh Mercy is also a great card for tribal decks such as yours.
4. For your enchantment package, you may include Shared Triumph
Good Luck! Happy Brewing!
I somehow agree with the affinity route, as you may include artifacts such as Mishra's Bauble, Memnite, Phyrexian Walker, Welding Jar and Ornithopter. This also makes it easier for you to activate Mox Opal or cast Salvage Titan.
Other useful cards are: Cave-in, Pyrokinesis, Soul Spike, Spinning Darkness and the like.
Hope I was helpful. Please do inform us if ever you get to finish the deck. Good Luck!
Or you may want to go into creating a tribal deck that is fun to play with! I once tried clerics with Masako the Humorless and Heliod, God of the Sun!

1. You have a very low land count - 29 lands. Normally, in a 1v1 environment, you should have at least 36 - 39 lands, and since you are a control player, I suggest you go for 39 lands (including possible fetches such as Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds. You may want to remove cards such as Mana Matrix, Monnring Mirror, Angelic Skirmisher, Ascended Lawmage, Soul Foundry, Phyrexian Processor and Mirror Universe.
2. I agree with Narvuntien: Your deck should have a specific focus/ goal. This is so that it will help you prioritize spells. If you want to go enchantments control, you can opt to add Teferi's Moat, Cloud Cover, Shackles, Parallax Tide and Dissipation Field
3. Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, Fatespinner and Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker are also very good cards worth considering. You may want to remove Konda, Lord of Eiganjo, Order of the Sacred Torch and Jareth, Leonine Titan.
4. Cyclonic Rift is also a must add when it comes to control decks!
Hope all of these suggestions helped you! Looking forward to your results!

Anyways, I play Surrak Dragonclaw because I needed him to protect my grouphug creature cards.
And then, I play Braids, Conjurer Adept, Tempting Wurm, Boldwyr Heavyweights, Zhur Taa Ancient, Overabundance and all the other mana doublers available. And then, I finish the game with Comet Storm or Gelatinous Genesis with Mass Hysteria
It's a grouphug deck, and you will really see your opponents fight each other because they need you at the table.
