It just 5-0ed on mtgo yet again. So there is a least eveidence this deck can survive, if not thrive in the new meta.

Are the fogs better than sudden shocks versus infect? Also, with summoners pacts we could play Melira out of the board. It sucks but if that is a matchup we can't beat than we got to push it right?

That is true but Obstinate Baloth can come in versus a wider range of decks, against and Liliaa of the Veil deck, any deck that can use Slaughter Games for our wincons, or a Crumble to Dust or anything of the likes. It also blocks better versus zoo and burn. Granted, Jaddi Offshoot is harder to skullcrack and comes down sooner. Really it depends on what you expect in your Meta. If you go blind, I always go with the Baloth. Besides, he looks cute and cuddly.

Well Heenock: does your play testing disagree? I would never tell someone their wrong unless I know so. To be honest I am really new to the deck and just decided to start play testing because I needed a deck that could handle the new meta (G/B life of the loam featuring prime time wasn't doing it) and have fallen in love. I only kno against affinity I think bolt is better but I could be wrong. As for sideboard, I like jaddi but he dies so easily. You have to play him turn two so you immediately get the life gain at least before they bolt him, so maybe a 2/1 split? I admit once again I have a crush on ballots though so I could be wrong. But he can be another win con, can't be bolted and can block all day against burn and a lot of zoo decks.4 mana can be slow I admit, but he can also come in against other matchups too.

My biggest thing is I have been hardcore testing against affinity and a timely bolt can be all you need to get to your combo of put them low enough to win. As for eldrazi, they still have mimics and endless ones when they try to go ridiculous, and their slower beat down lose to our combo so long as they don't though-knot seer it away. I will admit I'm not an e left on the eldrazi match though, and I can see fog doing work against infect though.

Heenock, why the maindeck Fogs? Are they just as a Time Walk or do you have a specific matchup you are gunning for?

I love the fact that Thien threw in the Infern Titan in the side as an alternate win con. We got the prime time players in the 75 now.

Savage knuckle-blade too hard on the mana? I would think it would be great since it blocks and attacks.

This is way late, I know. It's just after all the comments I was still going to play test this deck for one reason. I saw someone play a counterbalance deck. But with only a little bit of the package. He wasn't full on the whole counter top way and made it work by knowing what he needed to counter. It's hard I admit, but the thing is I have gotten much better just playing this deck. Miracles is easy when you just gotta top to counter every spell. But try knowing what you can and can't let go. It's so much fun. So what if it won't take down a gp. There are so many different stories of well this card sucks or this one doesn't. Look at Travis woo. Sometimes his decks work out well. Living end and ninja bear delver that people would have said suck. But than he does well. So here to fun, and maybe a good record.
