I think Midn8Walker is right. If you're committed to GDD, cut the Relics, cut Stormbreath, and add some more targets for the GDDs to bring back (e.g. Molten Rain). Probably also tick up to 4 Blood Moon and 4 Mind Stone if you go that route.
Or cut the GDD entirely and replace with 3 or 4 drop alternatives to smooth your curve.
I'm not right cause I did not gave a statement
I'm just asking, maybe there are important reasons
Well, I still play 1-of Batterskull - Stormbreath Dragon equipped with Batterskull is the dream <3
Try to get your hands on 1-2 Hazoret the Fervent (pretty amazing card), have Storm always in your mind.
It's dangerous to go out alone, take Graveyardhate with you.
After gettin rekt by a huge numbers of TKS, Smasher and Bananakings I would advise to play some kind of Roast.
Last match I had vs this sh*tpiece of deck, I dropped the Moon, he dropped a land -> Thought Knot, dropped a land -> Smasher, dropped a Land -> Wurmcoil.
(OMG. SO. MUCH. SKILL.) q.q
One of the red rares is a Goblin Pirate I believe. Goblins FINALLY freaking return. Pretty underwhelming in BFZ block and none in Shadows, Kaladesh OR Amonkhet. Not sure there has been a year and a half gap for Goblins before has there?
Really? Do you have a link or something? I wanna take a loot at that card
So I've bought 8-Whack on MTGO and did two leagues (both 2-3). Will probably buy into green splash for Atarka's Command soon. I might be out of practice playing such an aggressive deck (been playing BGx lately) but I wrote an article about current state of goblins in Modern including a report from both leagues. Feel free to read and give your feedback! Cheers!
Now I've read the article and I would say you really have to test out the Atarka Gobots Version.
I've seen some Bushwhacker-Zoo-Decks around in several tournament in the last weeks and they always got taken down by Lightning Helix, Fatal Push, PtE and Stuff where Atarka Gobots do not care so much about.
Atarka Gobots go wider and faster, playing a bnch of CMC0-Creatures, Kuldotha Rebirth and Legion Loyalist to push through Lingering Souls // Timely Reinforcements - It plays like a Combodeck with a way of playing the "fair" game and fighting your opponent with creatures till he is dead.
And talking about Sharkan, it dies to random creatures and manlands, though removal is bad against him. And, it does LESS than glorybringer, not more. Glorybringer kills a creature AND deals 4 damage to our opponent. Next turn it does nothing. Sharkan deals 4 damage OR attacks and next turn i only can attack if it dealt damage. And the third turn Glorybringe r attacks and deals 4 damage again while Sharkan only attacks.
How is Sarkhan dying to random creatures and manlands? He's indestructible.
Sarkhan, as Planeswalker, dies to nearly everything
That's what LeFantak refers to.
Empty Board from our side -> Sarkhan sucks 'cause we cant protect him.
Empty Board on opponent side -> Glorybringer sucks, he is "just" a 4/4 Flying/Haste for 5.
Beside that, nice summary about the Glorybringer there, interesting so far.
But I had the feeling, we have definitely enough removal for the most situations - 8-12Removalspells, 2x Chandra, Pia and Kira for throwing artifacts at our opponents, more Removal from the Sideboard, Sweeper, ...
I have to admit, there were 2 matches in the last weeks were a Glorybringer would have won me the game (instead of the Stormbrath I draw) but there were 5-6matches, where the Stormbreath Dragon shined because of his protection from white and 2 games where I could make him monstrous and won because of the damage.
In my local Meta there is just no room for Glorybringer.
Round 1
1:2 vs. Jund Death's Shadow
First match was perfectly curved out and won 'cause of Hazoret the Fervent and Eternal Scourge blocking the Death's Shadow and Relic of Progenitus keeping the Goyfs at bay, with Hazoret swinging in + discard land for the last damage.
He even had to Thoughtseize my Obliterate (next turn I had enough mana to cast, with Hazoret and Chandra on the field.
Match 2 Mulligan to 5 and screwed on 2 lands. Match 3 only 2 lands and did not see the third till turn 6.
In: 3x Molten Rain, 1x Blood Moon
Out: 3x Anger of the Gods 1x Stormbreath Dragon
Round 2
2:1 vs Storm.
Match 1 he went for Empty the Warrens, Anger of the Gods seals the deal.
Match 2 I had T1 Relic and T2 Dragon's Claw, he goes off with EoT Gift's Ungiven and then managed to storm in his round for around... his whole deck when I was on 36Life. Match 3 I had T1 Grafdigger's Cage and always Bolt/Skred for Baral/Goblin.
Easy play with so much hate in the board.
In: 2x Grafdigger's Cage, 3x Ratchet Bomb
Out: 3x Blood Moon, 2x Stormbreath Dragon
Round 3
2:0 vs Elves
Match 1 he took me down to 3 Life after I dropped a Blood Moon (for Temple Garden, Dryad Arbor, Cavern of Souls, Murmuring Bosk) and he overcommited to the board, I finally played Anger of the Gods and Koth of the Hammer went Nuts with his Ultimate + Bolts/Skreds in my hand to stop the board and Pia and Kiran Nalaar to block the last Elves.
Match 2 T1 Bolt, T2 Mind Stone, T3 Koth+Anger of the Gods, T4 Chandra, .... till I Obliterate for win.
In: 2x Grafdigger's Cage, 3x Ratchet Bomb
Out: 3x Blood Moon, 2x Stormbreath Dragon
Round 4
1:2 vs Burn
Match 1, Nutdraw Burn.
Match 2, Dragon's Claw.
Match 3, Destructive Revelry on Dragon's Claw + Nutdraw.
In: 4x Dragon's Claw, 3x Molten Rain, 1x Blood Moon
Out: 4x Relic of Progenitus, 2x Eternal Scourge, 2x Stormbreath Dragon
Round 5
2:1 vs Jund
Match 1: Screwed on 2 lands.
Match 2: Easy Blood Moon after some interactions betweend Relics stopping the Goyfs and Chandra threatening the win + Stormbreath killing Liliana.
Match 3: T3 Blood Moon.
In: 3x Molten Rain, 1x Blood Moon
Out: 1x Stormbreath Dragon, 3x Anger of the Gods
Round 6
0:2 vs Colorless Tron
Match 1: T3 Chandra, T4 Batterskull, T5 Stormbreath Dragon -> T4 Karn, T5 Reality Smasher, T6 Ugin, T7 Endbringer...
Match 2: Both Mulligan to 5, Blood Moon resolves, no Gas online, he wents to 6Mana dropping Smasher and to 7mana dropping Karn.
In: 3x Molten Rain, 2x Blood Moon, 2x Shattering Spree
Out: 4x Relic of Progenitus, 2x Eternal Scourge, 1x Anger of the Gods
Round 7
2:1 play for Fun vs Jund
Both of our opponents did not show up so we played a round for fun.
Match 1: Blood Moon, he plays Hazoret the Fervent and managed to dump his hand + attacking for lethal when I was flooded - we both laughed so hard... impossible
Match 2: Blood Moon.
Match 3: Blood Moon.
Tl;dr:
- Colorless Tron... so much knowledge about the game is needed to play this deck. NOT.
- Felt in a really bad position vs. Burn although I had 4 Claws with me
- Hazoret the Fervent proven worthy for me
- Obliterate won me around 4 matches last weekend (2 matches on the FNM before) and was never useless
- Still unsure about the landcount, 23 and I was flooded in 15% of my matches, 22 and I was screwed in 20% of my matches.
Claw vs Burn/Storm
Molten Rain vs basically everything where we dont Need Anger/Bolt
Blood Moon vs Tron, 4-5C-X, and Death's Shadow
Cage vs Collected, Storm, Dredge
Spree vs Affinity n Stuff
Bomb vs Merfolk, Death's Shadow, Bogles etc.
Maindeck Hazoret impressed me and Obliterate is just awesome vs basically everything when Hazoret/Koth/Chandra resolved earlier
So i've been working on a different version of skred....i tried the graveyard version a few pages back....no go, bad and clunky... however i tried this new artifact skred version that i built (somewhat based on an earlier version posted here) and so far in my testing its really got some great synergy and actually is rocking... not sure on exact numbers yet, may add the scrying sheets back in, but here is my list and feel free to also test it out.
1. Is there anyway to squeeze in Spike Jester?
2. Why 3x Mogg Fanatic main and 1x Sb? For what reasons you play him=?
I'm not right cause I did not gave a statement
I'm just asking, maybe there are important reasons
But I dislike the 4x Relic + 4x Dark-Dwellers, how do they work together?
Why 5 Sweeper main?
What is in your Sideboard?
Try to get your hands on 1-2 Hazoret the Fervent (pretty amazing card), have Storm always in your mind.
It's dangerous to go out alone, take Graveyardhate with you.
After gettin rekt by a huge numbers of TKS, Smasher and Bananakings I would advise to play some kind of Roast.
T1 Expedition Map -> We need the T1 Shattering Spree
T3 Thought Knot Seer -> We need the T4 4x Mountain and 1xSkred
T3 Natural Tron -> We are f*cked mostly -> On the Play we need the Blood Moon // Molten Rain, maybe two Rains
Last match I had vs this sh*tpiece of deck, I dropped the Moon, he dropped a land -> Thought Knot, dropped a land -> Smasher, dropped a Land -> Wurmcoil.
(OMG. SO. MUCH. SKILL.) q.q
Akki Avalancher - they saw play years ago..?
Goblin Guide - 4x
Legion Loyalist - 4x
Foundry Street Denizen - 4x
Boros Recruit - (why he was never managed in this Thread? Combined with Whacker he seems quite ok)
Frenzied Goblin - as 1-of
Mogg Fanatic - was awesome when Infect was a deck...
Stream Hopper - for getting some reach? just an idea ^^
Tattermunge Maniac - 2/1 is quite ok
Including Goblin Bushwhacker (CMC1-2) and maybe Signal Pest and Bomat Courier there are quite many cmc1-drops
+ Lightning Bolt, Goblin Grenade, ...
Here ya go:
http://mythicspoiler.com/ixa/cards/rowdycrew.html
Edit:
I do not think it is a Goblin... but whatever.
-> Yes, definitely an option.
I like the option to play Magic but this build will probably rek most decks these times.
Don't forget to bring the Ensnaring Bridges with you.
Now I've read the article and I would say you really have to test out the Atarka Gobots Version.

I am really not sure bout the landbase, was flooded hard playing 23lands several times last weeks but 22 with 3 Sheets seems not optimal as well.

How does Pia's Revolution work out for you? Seems for me like "well, take the mind stone I dont care" :'D
But seems somehow interesting.
Add 2 Scrying Sheets and I'm really missing Koth here :'D
