Hey, if you wanted to attack seventeen villains almost entirely by yourself, Alacar probably wouldn't have minded. Let's just say that a) as a divinity-level compulsion, it's immune to the aura, or b) she really did make the save, but didn't quite feel like committing suicide.
I just noticed now that I've always been mis-reading your nickname as "waymc." That aside, I have seen you around quite a bit, primarily in the CCL. 8/10
Sorry again, Nacacia. With a gesture of his knives, the rogue tosses his new magic at the massed-together group of villains, trying to spare the princess the effect of a second blast but realizing it might not be possible. At least it's not fatal. Athanis next decides to focus on the ogres, and their relatively-unprotected captive. After all, if he dies, this pain is gonna be pointless. He approaches one of the ogres, so as to place the beast between him and the fighter. He gets ready to strike...
...and the six-seconds of the round are over.
Initiative, assuming we're not using the 31 I rolled earlier...[dice=1]20+11[/dice]
Standard action - Great Thunderclap on the assembled hordes. If I can avoid Nacacia, I do, but I probably can't. If I can get the rightmost of the ogres while avoiding the prisoner and still hitting them, I do that too. Oh, and I avoid hitting us at all costs, of course, unless someone's gone before. DC is still 18 on all three. Sorry, Alacar. (I assume the guards are in a 2 row or three row configurations, not stretched in a 60' chain across a huge room.
Move action - Giving the ogres a gift-wrapped target that isn't the prisoner. Not the wisest of moves, but important to Athanis - not the targeting thing, but actually doing something about it.
Honestly, the light side/dark side of Lorwyn block could actually be turned into a decent movie, so long as nothing from the books - especially the author - has anything to do with the screenplay.
204. A proposal shall be made by submitting it to the Moderator by private message. Only
Voters may make proposals. As soon as possible after receiving
a proposal, the Moderator shall assign the proposal a number and post it to the forum. Players may change their proposal within 48 hours of their proposals
being posted by sending the moderator a PM of the desired changes.
Notes: This proposal changes rule 204 to only allow players to change their proposals during 48 hours instead of 72 hours. Since the voting period is 96 hours, at the moment there's one 24 hours since a proposal can't be edited until the voting period for it ends. I think that time should be bigger.
It's not as if hiding would have been much good when that door opens, anyway...
Athanis looks at the others. "It's time to fight, then." Athanis opens the door.
After opening the door:
Free action - draw daggers.
Action: Cast Great Thunderclap, all three saves for various effects, DC = 18
Move action - Get into the door in a position that leaves enough room between me and the wall for Aliiryn to be
Initiative: [dice=1]20+11[/dice]
Wow. Does Crit Initiative grant a bonus round?
"I hope you're not looking at me. That was one area that I never really got training in. It's usually better to get yourself dismissed or accepted than to not get noticed at all. Think the Fire Knives are hiring?"

a fair point. I might vote yes.
And I wish we knew how.

Let's try Crimson again.
2/10. Bonus points for being Canadian.
