    thanks =)

btw, i think we can work with deputy of detention. it's more fragile than reflector mage, but it's more versatile and has a more powerful effect

Ah nice trick you can pull of with Deputy is to Path/Reflector it in response to it's own ETB trigger, which means that the exiled cards would be gone forever^^

Doesn't work that way: DeDe doesn't have the Spell Queller/Fiend Hunter/Tidehollow Sculler text. If DeDe leaves the battlefield while its trigger is on the stack, the targeted card is not exiled at all.

Yeah, I think it's going to be very popular as an EDH comannder, but I don't believe that card will be playable in modern. Though it does have its ability, this is not Birthing Pod.

He is referencing this article: https://www.channelfireball.com/articles/how-many-colored-mana-sources-do-you-need-to-consistently-cast-your-spells-a-guilds-of-ravnica-update/

To cast a GG card reliably on turn 2, you need 20 sources of green, on turn 3 it's 18 sources and on turn 4 it's 16. Playing that card is risky, and you are generally better served by Nihil Spellbomb, Surgical Extraction, or Extirpate.

Yes! Another one of these guys. I'm building a deck with all the cheap lil buddies that have effects like this. Suppose I could make a Brawl deck with the new Rakdos Girl...

I can't think of any others currently...

This new guys is worse. He return to your hand not the battlefield like the others.
Wow, what a nerf Frown (as if champion was broken (even in standard the mardu deck was not that broken)

Well, there are times where you would want it back in your hand instead of the battlefield (Grafdigger's Cage, or to power up card that need discards, like Collective Brutality). It will probably be only playable in standard, but we don't know what synergies the next 6 sets will bring.

Seems like a funeral in here lol. I think everything is fine for Jund.

What do you guys think of some of the new revealed cards today?

Spawn of Mayhem Seems pretty cool to get a flying creature that cost sky high. Its spectacle cost is lower than its basic mana cost, which is the only known example of that so far. It can also survive a bolt like Kalitas,

Pestilent Spirit Seems interesting as it can make a bolt kill any creature instantly.

Carnival // Carnage I like this card because it is a 1 mana but I know blightning is probably better overall.

Consecrate // Consume We can only use the first half of this card but it is rare to see a cantrip in our colors. Doesn't seem terrible.

Carnarium's Bellowing Easier to cast but weaker overall Anger of the Gods. Thoughts?

Gruul Spellbreaker I personally like this card because it either comes in off a cascade as a 4/4 or another haste creature.

The only card that seems potentially Modern playable is the last one, but I really don't think Jund wants this, it is more of a Zoo card.

Bit underwhelming. It certainly is one of the weakest of the CCDD cycle in limited. It might see some play in Standard, as it gains life and blocks Chainwhirler.

What is going on with WotCs design philosophy that this is a Rare, yet Skaargan Hellkite is Mythic?

I prefer cards that I would want to play as 4x in a deck not to be Mythic, so that they won't cost too much to buy. Pestilent Spirit certainly qualifies!

I do not want another $30 Deathmist Rator, or $100 Jace, Vryn's Prodigy.

Looks pretty good. It's secretly red, since that's the color of Instant and Sorceries that deal damage (though there are a few in white too). I'm not certain if there's a Black/Red deck that wants this, but it certainly is plenty aggressive.

Birthing Pod on a stick. Interesting.

Works very well with Addendum. I'm surprised it's an uncommon. I don't know what kind of deck will want it though.

Has anyone tried the Blood Moon/8-Rabblemaster build that popped-up in a few 5-0 Leagues? It's not Ponza, since there is no land destruction aspect, but it shares a ton of cards and appears to be faster at closing games.

Oh man, I'm drafting 5 of those for my limited deck! Oh wait, it's a rare... Well, a 2/2 that becomes a 4/4 is definitely a playable card, especially if there is a +1/+1 counter synergy deck out there.

At the moment, Thorn Lieutenant is the better 2-drop IMHO.

Oh, and Elf Crab. Glad that's a thing now.

The light of hope is growing really dim for this archetype, which is saddening me greatly.

In other news, I'm hoping there are going to be cards with Spectacle that Jund could make use of. Spectacle as a mechanic has some promise.

Well, I look at things differently. As more and more threats and answers enter Modern, what I see is a move from 3 to 2 color decks: Jeskai splitting into UW Control for hard control and some UR Control for Bolt-Snap-Bolt and/or Combo finishers, while Jund is becoming BG Rock thanks to the power of Assassin's Trophy, or even GR Blood Moon aggro. Mardu Pyromancer is one card away from becoming a 2 color deck (a BR replacement for Lingering Souls).

BG Rock =/= Jund. Not even close.

And Jeskai =/= Uw Control. They're even further apart. But that was not my point. My point was that there seems to be a trend in Modern with players moving away from 3 color decks toward 2 color decks, mainly because they find the cards they need in their main colors, but also to run utility lands, Mana consistency and less self-damaging land base.

um.. that would require them to have 20 cards in exile for that to be lethal... you would need to use her 10 times before she becomes lethal.. most likely you are looking at 5-6 damage unless you wait late game...

Yes, that's what I meant: she could push for 4-10 damage against that deck in the late game.

Now THIS| This is interesting! Plays very well with Spectacle and fairly well in an Aristocrat/Afterlife build.
