I would not put too much value on Painful Truths. I think it's already near its top value at 3$ for its run in standard. Once KTK rotates out with its fetchlands, decks that run 3+ colors should no longer be the norm, especially since colorless is a "color" of its own with OGW. Read The Bones is better in 90% of cases in 1-2 color decks, only moderately weaker in a 3 color deck, is a common and is still with us in Innistrad.
There may be some value in the long run, due to Modern, but cheap alternatives are plentiful.

In a GB self sacrifice deck or a rally/aristocrat deck, it can mean getting a lot more tokens to sacrifice at instant speed. It's not an all star, but I could see it going to 1-2$ if he shows up in such a deck.Posted in: Articles

Doesn't work that way: DeDe doesn't have the Spell Queller/Fiend Hunter/Tidehollow Sculler text. If DeDe leaves the battlefield while its trigger is on the stack, the targeted card is not exiled at all.
To cast a GG card reliably on turn 2, you need 20 sources of green, on turn 3 it's 18 sources and on turn 4 it's 16. Playing that card is risky, and you are generally better served by Nihil Spellbomb, Surgical Extraction, or Extirpate.
Well, there are times where you would want it back in your hand instead of the battlefield (Grafdigger's Cage, or to power up card that need discards, like Collective Brutality). It will probably be only playable in standard, but we don't know what synergies the next 6 sets will bring.
The only card that seems potentially Modern playable is the last one, but I really don't think Jund wants this, it is more of a Zoo card.
I prefer cards that I would want to play as 4x in a deck not to be Mythic, so that they won't cost too much to buy. Pestilent Spirit certainly qualifies!
I do not want another $30 Deathmist Rator, or $100 Jace, Vryn's Prodigy.
At the moment, Thorn Lieutenant is the better 2-drop IMHO.
Oh, and Elf Crab. Glad that's a thing now.
And Jeskai =/= Uw Control. They're even further apart. But that was not my point. My point was that there seems to be a trend in Modern with players moving away from 3 color decks toward 2 color decks, mainly because they find the cards they need in their main colors, but also to run utility lands, Mana consistency and less self-damaging land base.
Yes, that's what I meant: she could push for 4-10 damage against that deck in the late game.
