I'm playtesting with 3 wurmcoil, 3 spellskite and 1 newlamog for creatures and set of o.stone and pyroclasm with 1 ugin and its pretty balance against the meta.
I used to have emrakul but very rarely I can play it, modern is really fast, and ugin at turn 4/5 with tron online doesn't do much since we probably is winning already at that point, its more of icing on top.
I'm still sceptical with hangarback walker specially against esper who runs complete disregard and silkwrap. we also have a number of options for the 2 slot that is more aggressive like makindi sliderunner, gnarlid. delaying the attack of hangarback helps the control than us.
If only useful in mirror, 4 is too much. 2 perhaps. Also if you use combo method, you can trample through blockers. Outpost siege is good in mirror and Esper dragon match-up. It might seems slow, but the trade with token and dash justify it's inclusion. Suggest you try 2 and see if it works for you. Based on sideboard guide from pro players and such, I think there is a good reason for it in sb. Do read the wording for both mode carefully.
To said the truth, 4x boiling earth is too many. If you are going for dash strategy, you might ad well play outpost siege. Outpost siege deals damage or extra card mode are both equally effective. Also boiling earth is not very effective against token strategy from gideon or secure the waste as they can buff them up easily and they will be out of reach.
boiling earth works wonders against atarka red with lots of goblin tokens. regarding Gideon emblem, they have to tap out on turn 4/5 to cast Gideon which like abzan opens the window for us to combo.
I personally find outpost siege too slow and the 4 mana tapping on turn 4\5 often indicates we are out of gas.
I've been losing a lot against esper dragons because of virulent plague, which they can dig at ease. im changing my game plan to move the hordeling sideboard to avoid dead cards and will go for all dash strategy to stall their attack, casting dragons and whatever things they plan on doing their turn.
im playing atarka red standard and was thinking if we can add become immense + battle rage combo in our naya burn list? or at least the become immense since our graveyard is heavy with fetch lands.
im playing atarka red lately because my meta is esper dragon and eldrazi fested which are bad matchup (as per my experience) against abzan and fantastic for my fast red deck!
isn't it a bit difficult to fetch smoldering if you only have 4 wooded foothills? and most of the times we use that to ensure we have green on first turn for warden or canopy for double white for Gideon.
have any of you experience a lot of issue with blood moon? sometimes I'm really thinking of going mono red burn and just find a good sideboard to deal with protection from red creatures.
I know we will lose a lot of key sideboard cards, but what do you think?
ancient grudge for affinity and rending volley for twin
spellskite and spellbomb for mirror
ensnaring bridge for big creature decks (abzan, jund, tron, etc)

alto having said that, I may be wrong
noted. will playtest. thanks

4 abbot of keral keep
4 lightning beserker
3 zurgo bellstriker
1 Goblin Heelcutter
4 Dragon fodder
4 wildslash
4 titan strength
4 atarka's command
4 temur battle rage
4 become immense

too much zoo, burn, merfolk and infect decks around.. meta is getting aggro and fast.
too slow and very predictable for me so I decided to go wide with atarka red.
