Too many Revelers are bad - you don't want to get multiples in hand, but yes they're good. The dragons are my kill cons. The planeswalkers are icing on the cake. In the Nahiri decks you have stuff like Magus of the Tabernacle and GDDs. Here I'm on the same curve, except going with dragons since they're objectively the game's best creature type...along with your elementals, efreet, demons, devils and eldrazi.
That sweet Ray Swanland Obers is in my SB, coming in for Sarkhan the Mad.
If it makes your deck better and you don't use it when you've got access to it, then I don't know what to say OP.
The Issue I have with them is that sometimes it just seems that Mono-Red and a few r/x combos only win games because of Blood Moon. Maybe I just need a more csual group, where mono-red actually stands a chance.
I don't understand why that's an issue. A win's a win's is a win.
I hope one of the world's gods is created as a mockery of the Umezawas. Also - I think it would be great if Bolas were written more like Lord Beerus from Dragon Ball Super/Battle of the Gods. I know Bolas is a villain, but I also really want to like him.
I'm predicting a Rock III story, since we've been told about some kind of forge/trials thing. Question is - which Gatewatch gets to be Rocky, and who's gonna be our Clubber Lang?
I'll post what I have and let you guys pick at it when I get home.
Can we discuss the tron matchup? Both GR and U. I've given up on those a long time ago, and didn't even bother siding for them, but then suddenly everyone is playing tron at my lgs. How are we supposed to win this matchup consistently? I'm willing to over sideboard for them.
I don't even think you'd need brainwashing here. From what I recall of my hypotheticals:
Tezz - He likes to be in charge...IDK what he's doing now, last I saw he was trying to take control on New Phyrexia
Sarkhan - Give him his dragons and he's fine.
Narset - Give her a way to deal with the Dragonlords and she's fine.
Domri - He likes smashing authority; needs to take his lumps and grow a bit.
Vraska - Grudge against the Azorious; give her the tools she needs to destablize the Azorius Senate.
Dack - He's gotten on Ashiok's bad side I think? Give him something that'll help him with that.
There you are.
edit
These planeswalkers could be united by the thread of, "We're tired of the interplanar apocalypses, just let us do our thing."
A Suicide Squad of Tezzeret, Domri, Vraska, Dack, Narset and Sarkhan would be damn fine. Truthfully, since each of these is driven by something very specific, Bolas promising them their desires in exchange for a job done right (something the Gatewatch kinda hasn't been doing for poor Ugin) would ensure a job done right...and it would probably be better for the Multiverse in the longterm.
edit - they don't have to be evil; the only character on the movie's team that struck me as being evil was Slipknot, because of the thing about him being a rapist. Granted the team was more interested in cutting/running/scheming their way out of the situation than saving the world because it was the right thing to do, but it didn't necessarily make them evil.
I'd play straight LD spells if that's your game. Your list looks nice, Delver. I would maybe drop a K-Command main for a 3rd Liliana. What does your sideboard look like?
Tinkering with Sarkhan as CA with his 0 ability. The 2x Dreadbore are a flex slot. I had considered Magma Jet since the Skreddies are touting it as red's answer to Serum Visions.
I really like having that Instant speed kill; seems very good vs bigger critters. Sorcery speed on Chandra's ability is the turnoff, plus I can switch gears and add stuff like Night's Whisper for CA and Damnation for the big beasts. I'm not sure if the LD is needed when we can simply attack the hand via Inquisitions and K-Commands. Plus Slaughter Games and Extirpate seem like strong SB tech.

edit - What do you guys think of Fulminator Mage as a 3-drop LD spell?
destroy land + Extirpate / Surgical Extraction = Tron fuarked
