Question: compared to the wording on my card, i wonder if, for example, Sakura-Tribe Elder is in your graveyard, can you sac Necrotic Ooze for a land?
i don't think so, but...
EDIT: i guess WotC decided that reminder text wasn't needed, but i think it's going to cause confusion for folks who don't read articles at their site!
this card could actually be considered to have a downside in that, if Metalcraft is active, you can't target your own artifacts (like, equipping them and such...)
Every time I see a good "is put into a graveyard from play" effect on creatures I can't stop thinking about white removal vs black removal, exiling being so superior to destroying. So we have swords to plowshares, path to exile, versus smother, doom blade. When black destroys this creature black gets shafted. When white exiles this creature (and many more creatures that are seeing play in competitive decks), white wins. Me-not-understand.
WHY don't they just put "graveyard or gets exiled" or leaves play?!
i think the primary justification for this disparity is that while black may be worse at removal, it is better at other things, like forcing discards and reanimation.
(but your point is exactly why i hate Baneslayer Angel. white should not get creatures that cheap and powerful in addition to its superior removal. for criminy, at least make it legendary!)
Atlantis Rising :symu::symu:
Tribal Sorcery - Merfolk
Until end of turn, Merfolk you control gain ": Untap target land." As the warbling song flowed along the currents, ancient homes pushed through the sea's surface towards a sun they had not seen in millenia.
Only two cmc? I don't know about that...
Also, free land untaps is very green (see Arbor Elf for one small example) and not at all blue. The one card that comes close to doing that in blue is Twitch, and that is a very general card and is not land exclusive.

Enchantment - Aura
Enchant Creature
Enchanted creature is X/X, where X is twice the number of creatures you control.
Clone armor (If enchanted creature would be destroyed or exiled, this Aura becomes a copy of that creature.)
I'm not a big fan of some of the cards here, but they're generally pretty good. I don't like Clone Armor very much though, as you can easily produce copies of your own creatures very very easily using this, and that would lead to abusive situations. Pop this down on a card you like, then destroy it yourself, and bam - you've got two baneslayers without even drawing the second one. Just an example. 85 B
this is another case of a judge not reading my card closely enough: Clone armor does not say "If enchanted creature would be destroyed or exiled, this Aura becomes a copy of that creature *instead*." so in the example you provide you are left with only one Baneslayer. the original is still destroyed. i had to do it this way because otherwise, the enchantment would hit the grave with the creature before it could copy anything. basically, instead of strictly protecting the enchanted creature, Clone armor becomes a copy when you lose the first one.
but thanks for your otherwise careful judging
