Have you guys considered splashing black for Frogtosser Banneret, Earwig Squad, Warren Weirding and Fodder Launch? Oh, and Tuktuk the Explorer, he works extremely well with Goblin Grenade and Fodder Launch.

to be fair o-ring, mangara of corondor, and revoker do a decent job main deck.

You do realize that W has answers to artifacts right? leonin relic-warder, naturalize, ect.

    Revoker stops Plating and Ravager.

Ghostly Prison slows them down. Then if you really hate them, you have access to Kataki.

    Looks pretty winnable to me.

O-ring and Mangara are too slow, I'm already half-dead by the time I can cast/vial them. And Revoker always seems to attract Galvanic Blasts like a magnet. Haven't thought about Ghostly Prison yet, will try that out. Thanks!

How do you guys win vs Affinity with monowhite builds? Either they kill me by 4-5th turn or we're in topdeck mode and they just keep playing Cranial Platings and Masters of Etherium while I topdeck some lovely Vials and T. Edges. I mean, i'm seriously considering splashing green for md Qasali Pridemages and sb Nature's Claims.

I'm not sure if you noticed my list on the first page (I think it was the second post), but Teeg doesn't shut me down. The entire deck is built to be an answer for their answers. Teeg doesn't stop creatures, and Steel Hellkite is well within casting range for Post, and answers Teeg. For reference, here is my list again...

The idea is not to try to go all-out combo-into-Emrakul, but to get the answers I need when I need them. For swarming decks, there is Silent Arbiter. Phyrexian Revoker stops planeswalkers, Scepters, and so on. Duplicant answers Emrakul and other creatures that cannot be targeted (or Iona, funny story about a dredge match...). Steel Hellkite answers Teeg, artifacts and enchantments. Shimmer Myr acts as my Teferi. Hex Parasite is the backup against planeswalkers and other cards that use counters. Platinum Angel is great against combo decks, or also good for the late game when I have the Spell Burst going. Lodestone Golem is great against decks that plan on using the Punishing Fires engine. Wurmcoil Engine is typically my win condition (that or the Steel Hellkite).

The counters, life gain, and All is Dust is usually enough backup to keep me alive until I have an answer. I do risk the possibility of them taking out my Eye or Academy Ruins, but usually the opponent focuses more on my Cloudposts if they have Ghost Quarters. You then just have to try to get more Cloudposts than they get Quarters, which you have advantage thanks to Tolaria West and Expedition Map.

But how do you search for your 1-of's without any draw or search spells?

I've been having good luck vs zoo with this new build Ub12post.

The SB isn't really an SB its more or less of a, ok lets try this now. Urborg has been a CHAMP at making my mana work out just how I need it. Thoughtseize has paid for itself in every matchup. And Doom Blade has been a hero more than not. VS Zoo I haven't had many issues. Engineered explosives, damnation, all is dust, oblivion stone, etc. Also, Urborg got me a match last night vs a resolved Magus AND blood moon. I got greedy and tapped out for a Ugin fetch. I was able to recover with a dust to doomblade 1 - 2 punch, and the next turn I played Emrakul.

What do you usually side in/out for Zoo and mirrors?

What do you guys think about playing a single Engineered Explosives with like 1x Breeding Pool and 1x Steam Vents. Oh, and we can even sideboard some Firespouts this way.

No, what I'm asking is if we could/should add an MTGO section to the primer.

Transmuter, if you want to further discuss Online, I have AIM, facebook in my profile or you can contact me through PM or at my helpdesk.

    Yes, that would be awesome.

I don't want to be rude and take more of your time than is needed. Not to mention the fact that you provided me with exact info I was looking for. Grin Thanks again and have a good day (or evening, for that matter)!

You're very welcome. Do we need to add something to the primer for budget MTGO decks?

Oh, is there such a primer somewhere? I think I somehow missed it. The only MTGO Primer I found was "The Difference Between MTGO Legacy and Paper Legacy".

I don't know if the Exiler precon is still for sale. But if it is, it comes with a Jitte, three Stoneforge, and four Aether Vials. All you need to add is some Swords of This and That and Mother of Runes, or basically flavor it to how you want.

It seems I can build a decent D&T or L&T deck from it. Thank you!

Hello guys, I'm not really new to Legacy, been playing paper one for some time (builded Food Chain, Recurring Explorer and Maverick), but I can't play it anytime I want so i'm thinking about getting a budget legacy deck in MTGO. I don't want to spend a lot of cash on it (thinking about $100 or so), but I don't want it to be 100% casual either. Can someone point out a somewhat cheap and at least semi-competitive deck I can build from scratch? Or should I try Modern (I wonder if it'll be cheaper, with all these shocklands)? :S

How the hell does it win against "normal" legacy decks? Only basic lands?? Only 4 win-cons (lol Nezumi Shortfang?)?? Thirst for Knowledge without artifacts?? Terror, Condescend and Boomerang in legacy?? Man, THIS is not "on a budget", it's really crap. I don't want to hurt your feelings or whatever, but you can't face a legacy tourney with this.

Ok, so i yelled a lot, i think. Let's talk business. On the first glance:

+4 Watery Grave (budget, so no Seas)
+4 Underground River (cmon, this is really cheap)
    -8 Islands and Swamps
and some fetches would be nice

    +4 Brainstorm
    +3 Smother
    +4 Repeal
    +4 Innocence Blood
    +2 Fact or Fiction
    +2 Engineered Explosives
    -4 Thirst for Knowledge
    -3 Terror
    -4 Boomerang
    -4 Condescend
    -4 Mystical teachings

    +2 Psychatog
    -2 Nezumi Shortfang

    In My Humble Opinion.

    Yes, that is correct.

I would just play Engineered Explosives in its place. Chalice can really hurt you at times since your curve is very low, and even though EE can be charged for 2 at the best in reality (thanks to Mox Diamond), having it at 0 is good to take out manlands (excellent at getting around Erayo) and at 1 it is good against weenies.

Man, you can't kill lands with EE, even if they're trying to punch you in the face. Sorry.

However, even without that, Explosives are superior to Chalices here imo.

An idea for a deck I came up with, wanted to get some input. It is esentially Mono blue controlmwith a twist. Applying some aspects of the Vintage deck Sullivan Solution.

The idea is to try and flip an Erayo asap, then drop an Arcane Laboratory for a hard lock.

    I'd suggest:
    -2 Guile +2 Morphling
    -3 Chalice +3 Engineered Explosives
-2 Island +2 duals (i.e. Tundra and Tropical Island) for EE

Also, -1 Arcane Laboratory from either main or side, because 3+2=5. Smile
