I do not think that is accurate Aussie. This is a triggered ability that looks at the power of the creature when it enters. When Vile Ag enters it will have a power of 2 and a toughness of 5. You 'copy' the BASE power and toughness of the Mimic, it should also become 2/5.
Sorry, I immediately updated the post right after I saw what I had said. I switched the Power and toughness part in Eldrazi Mimic's text with the base power and toughness part when reading the card. Apologies.
The Eldrazi Mimic gains Vile Aggregate's power and toughness, which is currently 2/5, assuming you control no other colourless creatures. (I think) Vile Aggregate has a characteristic defining ability defining its power. When it enters the battlefield, its power is automatically updated, and Eldrazi Mimic gains P/T 2/5.
Umm... This is basically just a worse hate bears deck, and has a less consistent mana base than a normal delver deck, just to run leonin arbiter. I haven't ever seen squelch before, mind you.
Also, I'm sorry to say this, but celestial colonnade is certainly more powerful, and only costs one mana ore to activate. Still,CWandering Fumarole is certainly interesting. I think this deck can't handle tapping down five lands though.
Ever since Wizards announced that Stoneforge Mystic was the 2016 GP promo, many have been wondering whether the modern format is about to receive white's most powerful two-drop this January. I couldn't find a forum about discussing this possibility, and so I apologise to the moderators if this thread is in the wrong section and/or is a repost of something already on the forums.
Griselbrand's GP promo shows that, if SFM is unbanned, it probably at max increase by $10 in value, as the GP promos will satisfy most of the new demand. Also, if SFM is unbanned in 2016, the GP organisers will have to increase the prices of their events.
That looks pretty good (still personally not a fan of Young Pyromancer, but it seems to be working well). I might replace Dispel with Spell Pierce though. Also, I see that you gave up on Boros Charm.
Hi Valanarch. It's been awhile. This isn't my list, just a list I found. I agree with you about Young Pyromancer. I'm not a huge fan of that card in modern as well. I too run Spell Pierce in my main board over dispel. I'm still running my trusty one of Boros Charm in my Jeskai Delver/Prowess list, but I have had thoughts of cutting it lately. I haven't been seeing many sweepers lately so it basically is a four damage spell. I am also still running two Emerge Unscatheds that you mentioned a couple of years back.
This deck looks like an interesting deck. It has the aggressive delver, geist, pyromancer package with probe, visions, thought scour and then it has the more midrange monastery mentor, electrolyze, mana leak. There are very few late game cards with mentor being the biggest card that sticks out. I actually prefer my tempo/aggressive decks to have a few late game cards so I like this build even though I haven't had great luck with mentor in a delver build yet.
I personally never ran the lategame cards, but I haven't had much luck with Monastery Mentor either. Hopefully we'll see an SFM unban so this is playable again (Though I'll totally have to sell most of my cards to afford the SFM's after the inevitable price spike. I'm just not willing to risk buying a card that I think has almost no shot of being unbanned.)
SFM certainly will spike if Wizards does unban it, but they've announced it as the 2016 GP promo, so it shouldn't cost you much more than $100 for the play set. (I hope!)
I don't know how much I can say I like retreat to emeria. Turn 4 seems a bit late for landfall, especially when you play the lootering ascendancy. Why not just more jeskai charms? Secure the wastes also seems too good to run only one. Being instant speed and scaling up that well seems appealing. I like tokens as a deck but wonder how much I can like your game vs midrange since your build seems rather slanted against early game play, packing a bunch of small burns and silkwrap. Or was this meta call?
My LGS is full of Atarka Red and Jeskai Black. My deck underperforms against the former, as it has its own tokens, and performs brilliantly against the latter, which cannot handle how far wide the deck can go. I have had many doubts about Retreat to Emeria and it originally served as a replacement Gideon and something I could sac to Dromoka's Command rather than sacrificing Ascendancy. They also were put in in the logic of giving you things to do when you run out of gas, but now I think about it, they don't contribute anything to the gameplan. I will certainly contemplate cutting the retreats.
It turns out that if you cut Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and Jace, Vryn's Prodigy and remove Flooded Strands from the mana base, you get a solid deck that can perform in tournaments for under $100. (My list placed 7th at gameday, and the only difference was that it did have some flooded strands)
Update: With a couple of borrowed Gideons, the deck managed to pull off 3-1 at FNM.
The main game plan is, obviously, bring out hordes of tokens, and make them bigger with Jeskai Ascendancy. All advice and questions on this deck are welcome.
I started when Innistrad came out. My favourite set (maybe nostalgia).
Happy to return. Sad it won't be in fall / winter. Leaving your LGS when it is dark outside fit flavour wise. Leaving your LGS and it is spring / summer outside might not fit very well.
For us Australians, it will be perfect dark-and-scary flavorwise!

What do you think will happen to the modern format if Wizards does unban Stoneforge Mystic? Will the format warp or will Mystic and Batterskull be outclassed in a field full of Kolaghan's commands, turn three one-mana Tasigur, the Golden Fangs and and other cards that can stop a Batterskull in its tracks?
SFM certainly will spike if Wizards does unban it, but they've announced it as the 2016 GP promo, so it shouldn't cost you much more than $100 for the play set. (I hope!)
