Counter-spell 1UUU
Instant
Counter target spell. Then, if you control the creature with the greatest power, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature.
This is for a LOTR set, being a play on the line
"‘What it was I cannot guess, but I have never felt such a challenge. The counter-spell was terrible. It nearly broke me. For an instant the door left my control and began to open! I had to speak a word of Command. That proved too great a strain. The door burst in pieces. Something dark as a cloud was blocking out all the light inside, and I was thrown backwards down the stairs. All the wall gave way, and the roof of the chamber as well, I think."
Could I say on the battle "This battle is part of The War of the Ring"? Then the War card would say
(Whatever should be here) if you have exiled 5 cards that are part of "The War of the Ring"
Heres a card type I made as a workaround for a mechanic with Wars.\
Battle of the Peak of Zirakzigil 4
Battle- War of the Ring
Battle (Battles are cast as sorceries. As this spell resolves, exile it. If you do, search your library for another Battle card with the same subtype as this one and put it into your hand. As long as this card is exiled another spell of the same name cannot be cast.)
Target creature you control fights another target creature you don’t control. If the both creatures would die, then the creature you control gains Undying.
Is this okay for a new card? Or would it be easier to just use sorceries? I just don't like having the Subtype line full of 4 different words that have nothing to do with sorceries.
The "War" Mechanic would work with this card
The War of the Ring 10
Sorcery- War
You may only cast this card if you have exiled 5 Battles with the subtype "The War of the Ring".
Exile all creatures all opponents control. Deal damage equal to those opponents equal to the total power of the exiled creatures. This damage cannot be prevented.
Most of these are pretty self explanatory for a LotR set.
Can you guys help me think of some others? Or maybe even ideas for new cards. I need instants and sorceries, enchantments, and artifacts. And maybe Flavor text as well?
Finnaly, I wanted to know about how many Commons, Uncommons, and Rares I should have for a set?
I guess I was sort of looking for an existing card that had elements of the flavor of Time of Heroes (A bunch f people banding together with no hopes of winning) etc.
Hey everyone, I'm looking into making a FFX set. I wanted to make one of my staple Time of Heroes, due to the whole sin thing and all.
Anyways, Time of Heroes itself does not really fit into the set, as no creature is a leveller. So, I'm looking to you guys to see if you know of any cards with flavor similar to Time of Heroes. IMO, Time of Heroes is a card that sends tingles down you neck everytime you read it, but is not useful in most situations.
Hi, I'm not sure if you are allowed to request artwork hee, but here I go!
I need artwork for a custom MTG card based off of Time of Heroes. It is for a set based off of Final Fantasy X.
I was wondering if anyone could maybe recreate the Opweration Mi'Hen scene, or maybe a new scene with Sin altogether?
If you have not played FFX, for reference, the monster who would be stand in for the Eldrazi, and the operation I was talking about earlier, can be found

And a quick Google search of "Sin FFX" will give you some models of Sin itself.
Thank you for anyone willing to help me out. Right at this point, I cannot offer money as I have not created a Pay Pal account, but in the future, I would be very willing to pay.

Whatavout just naming off the cards in the actual "War" card? I feel like that would be way too cumbersome.
EDIT: Sorry i sisn't see that someone had posted
My questions to the original reply still stand.
To the other replier: What exactly do you mean by the rules varience? Because of the new card? WHat if it is just a Keyword named Battle?
And I just took 2 seconds to come up with the War of the Ring card, so that's not the final product, just an example of the "War" mechanic.

Awesome. i will definitly use this as a card
I'll prbably just make a non-reprint card though.

Thanks And check out my thread asking for some artwork for the card as well! (http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/creativity/artwork/non-magic-related-artwork/645389-artwork-request)
